So, in a nutshell, what was the final RBC Decision?
I had to run off to work and am going back again soon, so I haven't seen nor heard the final outcome. Can anyone be so kind to explain it in a nutshell?

Thanks in advance! :hi:

4. Florida: 100% of delegates seated, with 1/2 vote each
Michigan: 100% seated, 69 Clinton, 59 Obama, then each gets 1/2 vote.

:)

6. Overall it was a rule change that favored Clinton.
Hence a victory for Clinton. But not enough to make an impact.

7. So, no one anticipates "an inch given, mile taken" scenario
in the near future or any idea how this will play out for the convention?

8. I don't see it going that far.
Between the Pledged delegates Obama gets in tomorrow's loss in PR coupled with super Delegates endorsing on Monday, SD and MT will put him over the top. On Wednesday and throughout the summer, most of the remaining Super delegates will endorse Obama, and I expect a large fraction will switch from Clinton to Obama.

He'll be several more hundred ahead by Denver.

12. Tell that to all the people who didn't vote or wrote in names...
or voted for Huckabee or Romney because
our primary was INVALID.

A political compromise was the only
way to seat any delegates, since
the "primary" was not reflective
of the will of the people.

Sad, but TRUE.

15. Didn't Earn?
With all due respect, Mr. Monkey, Obama's name was not on the Michigan ballot, neither were Edwards, Richardson, et al. Hillary's was the only name on the Michigan ballot. As for Florida, the primary--held in flagrant violation of party rules--well, that was remotely fair, if you consider a primary held at the very beginning of the election year, where all candidates had been told the results would not count, where all did not campaign, and at a time when Barack Obama was unknown to great swaths of America fair.

The RBC verdict bears a remote resemblence to fairness. It will do. Barack Obama is the nominee. Now we need you, and all of us Democrats to unite and end the horror of the last (nearly) eight years.

Robert

So, what did Florida really get?

I assume we get to send all our delegates, but their vote will only count as 1/2? Is this correct?

16. All the more reason to not trust everything one reads on the internets :)
I caught that, too, ruby slippers and have been at work all day and half the night, so, I am uncertain as to the final outcome. I got the gist of it from asking, but, I'm still seeking full clarification. :hi:
