11. this will make your day: In all fairness to McCain, maybe English grammar was different in the 1920s
http://www.americablog.com/2008/05/in-all-fairness-to-mccain-maybe-english.html

He's lost his mind. McCain's now trying to claim that he didn't tell voters yesterday that we have drawn down to pre-surge troop levels in Iraq. He's now trying to claim that he said we're DRAWING down, i.e., still in the process, not there yet. But of course, that's not what he said. It's on film. Everyone has seen it. ThinkProgress walks you through it again. It's just downright bizarre that McCain keeps denying that he said what he said. We have video. Bush and Cheney and company tried this for years, and got away with it. They constantly lied about the facts and figured no one would be the wiser. But people finally wisened up. And they don't accept blatant lies any longer. We have not gotten down to pre-surge troops levels - we're not even close. And now McCain is arguing "verb tenses" as an excuse - Grandpa, what Clintonian teeth you have. Whether McCain is lying or simply doesn't understand the facts in Iraq, for him to now deny that he said what he said, well, when we have the video, it's just kind of creepy and sad.

I agree ~ the Gulf beaches are unbeatable (though I have really enjoyed the manatees and coral reefs near Palm Beach).

When Honeymoon Island was chosen as best beach in the nation recently, I thought shhhhhhh, don't tell anyone!

22. Oh come on now
McCain's full of shit just because he first says 100 years in Iraq is hunky dory because things "are getting better," but now he says we're out by 2013? And because he said Bush's tax cuts were irresponsible but is now behind them 100%?

Okay I thought I could present a few more jokes with a straight face but I can't. Agreed, he's as full of shit as they come. Maybe only Lieberman and Bush are more full of the stuff.

25. 22 Iraqi children massacred after his "safe" visit to Baghdad market
Over at Balloon Juice:

The visit was tragically followed by this news a few days later:

The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress.
