Chuck Todd: Hillary betting it all on a longshot 1% chance at the nomination

Over at Americablog, John Aravosis is musing on what Hillary Clinton will do next:

"I was thinking about this earlier this morning. It's almost as if the Clintons feel that they have nothing to lose, so they're going for broke. But do they have nothing to lose? Can't Hillary run again in four years if Obama loses in the fall? Hell, can't Hillary run again in 8 years if Obama wins (she'll only be 68, which still makes her viable)?" More at http://www.americablog.com/2008/05/chuck-todd-et-al-hillary-may-have.html

His starting point is Chuck Todd and his team's wondering if Hillary Clinton shouldn't have suspended her campaign weeks ago so that she could start salvaging her own political future and the family legacy. http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/05/27/1066389.aspx

I personally think the Clintons are playing a game of chicken with the Democratic Party. They are saying nominate us or see the party be destroyed.

It is clear to me that the threat just isn't going to work although I think against a weaker opponent it just might.

Unfortunately for the Clintons, they underestimate Obama. But the party doesn't.

Do you think that Hillary will ever get another shot at the presidency, under ANY scenario?
