Superdelegate predictions for today?
Anyone?

It was a long weekend and I'm curious what the SD's are thinking after assassination-gate. I'm hoping for say 3 or more SD's today myself.

1. 3-5 per day until 6/3. They will position it such that the voters push him over the top.
The super delegates will be released so that he is right up to the edge in clinching then the pledged delegates will lock it up.

That way it will be spun that the voters, not the supers pushed Clinton out of the way for good.

6. Good point ...
Hopefully they're aware of what SD support they'll
have at that point to make a good deal on 5/31 (they
know how far they can bargain re seating MI and FL).

7. 1/2 strength FL as voted & MI with a 60/40 split also 1/2 a vote each.
IMHO:

Neither state will be allowed a full vote as per the minimum penalty.

Florida will be allowed to stand as is.
Michigan will be either a 60/40 or 65/35 split.

8. Why in the hell would the Obama campaign
Agree to a 65-35 split? He wasn't even on the ballot, and that HAD to affect the turnout for him.

9. Because they can. Clinton wants 100/0. Fair is 50/50. So they'll bend.
Because they can.

11. And they (the Obama campaign) can make this deal and not jeopardize
his nomination? (I thought I'd heard this wouldn't
affect it but just want to make sure.) Sounds like a
generous offer and if HRC turns it down, hopefully
people will realize how unreasonable she's being
and not buy any arguments about the DNC not being
"fair" to her.

12. Yes, they can make a deal that generous. He has that many supers lined up.
This is kabuki theater we're watching.

13. One other point
I suspect they'll get close to going over the top before the R&BC moves the goal posts. He may even go over the top before the 31st, but then be spotted a few yeard shy of the goal line by the R&BC.

2. Shuster said this morning that the remaining SDs were "The Weasel Factor".. that one can
look at the list and know that these people are too "weasly" to declare.. wanting to always be able to say to the Clintons.. "I was on your side until the very last !"

Such is the Democratic Deciders. Weasels.
