Wikipedia entry for Liz Trotta
already has her remarks from Faux listed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liz_Trotta

On May 25, 2008, Trotta made news after expressing on Fox News what some construe as a desire that U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama be assassinated<3> in the run up to the 2008 United States presidential election.<4> Prior to her comment she referred to Barack Obama as "Osama".

In reference to Hillary Rodham Clinton's controversial reference<5><6> to Robert F. Kennedy's June, 1968, assassination in a discussion of the ongoing 2008 Democratic primaries, she stated,

"<...> and now we have what some are reading as a suggestion that somebody knock off Osama. Um, uh, Obama. Well both, if we could." (She followed this comment with laughter.)<3>

The blogosphere has responded to Trotta's remarks. Jeffrey Feldman of The Huffington Post characterizes her remarks as continuing "the trend in violent rhetoric about Sen. Obama" and as "vile, utterly disgusting, 'assassination' humor".<7>

1. Kind of reminds me of Kevin James' appearance on Hardball
MSNBC joked the next day that his wikipedia page had already been updated with his Hardball appearance.

not always accurate or complete... but a great jumping off point and pretty damned responsive to current events.

5. This was Hillary's intention. Like bigotry, by introducing the concept...
herself and getting pundits to talk about it, it de-heinousizes the top of assassination in a presidential reference.

I don't understand how Hillary's supporters can continue to support her. I just don't get it.

6. I don't get it either.
but, then again, I am not supporting her for other reasons. Though if for some crazy chance she did get the nomination, I'd still vote for her. Anything would be better than a republican in office.
