Republican organizations have been hard at work to get anti-corporate crusader Ralph Nader on the ballot in as many states as possible. They’ve hired consultants, enlisted the homeless, attempted forgery, and this week, they tried to garner the support of ACT staffers protesting at a Dick Cheney rally in Clive, Iowa.

Philadelphia Inquirer has uncovered the two most common tactics used to trick people into signing the petition – “that the petitions were to confirm that people were registered to vote or to put Kerry on the state ballot. Scott Caulfield, a recent Temple Law grad, said he lectured a man he often sees panhandling in the Broad Street subway after being asked to sign a Nader petition to help Kerry. “He said, ‘I’m just telling people what they told me to say,’

Heck I should just post the whole damn article because I know ACT would not be upset if it was posted here.

But here is what really BURNS MY ASS (and it ain't a 3foot flame)

In New Hampshire, Republican consultants have been hired to help get the number of names required by Wednesday’s deadline. “Today, Democrats will hold a press conference to discuss a petition drive held at Doug and Stella Scamman’s farm in Stratham on Friday as 3,000 Republican faithful attended a picnic with President George W. Bush. Temporary workers were hired through Adecco Employment Agency of Portsmouth to gather signatures throughout the weekend, including the GOP event in Stratham on Friday.”

YET, will Mr. Nader condemn what the republicans are doing to help get him on the ballot to spoil Kerry winning this state????

NO!!!

I go to Nader's website and I see this article:

(btw, you can freaking google Nader's website to find this - I'm not posting his link and giving him any publicity

Nader Campaign Submits More than 5,500 Signatures in New Hampshire

Washington, DC: The Independent Presidential Campaign of Ralph Nader submitted signatures today in New Hampshire. The Nader-Camejo Campaign submitted more than 5,500 signatures—well over the 3,000 valid signatures required by the state. New Hampshire requires 1,500 in each of their two congressional districts; the Nader-Camejo Campaign submitted well over the ...Continued...

HEY ASSHOLE (and that's the nicest word I can use to call Ralph Nader), HOW MANY OF THOSE SIGNATURES DID YOUR ORGANIZATION EARN AND HOW MANY DID THE REPUKES BUY FOR YOU SO YOU CAN RUIN NEW HAMPSHIRE FOR KERRY.

You're a FUCKING ASSHOLE Ralph Nada. I can't believe I actually posted that here at DU and I hope & pray the moderators let this post unlocked. But I'm so frustrated that my hands are shaking and tears are streaming from my eyes. That asshole Nader CELEBRATES that the repukes are getting him on the ballot.

If you are voting for Nader you are no friend of mine. I don't care if you're voting for Cobb (the green candidate) but Nader is a NONO because if you are voting for Nader you're voting for the candidate running on the repuke-like ticket (REform party which field Pat Buchanon ran on 4 years ago) and you're ACCEPTING the support from Republicans (who btw screwed over homeless folks from Philly they hired to get Nader on the ballot) to help get Bush elected.

If you tell me I'm full of crap then you still think denial is a river in Egypt.

2. Too bad you missed Nader's article
This Sunday, condemning Democrats dirty and illegal actions in trying to keep him off the ballot. And that he doesn't take all that much GOP money.

So apparently, at some rallies and petition drives, between Dems crowding out the scene so no genuine petitioner can be signed up and the GOP trying to get petitions so Nader can help Bush, Nader has barely any real supporters at all.

He should be gratified at the sound and fury of these crowds because it is the only energy he is going to generate this year.

Well, this is a case of hypocritical blindness to bring made sport of or he has been extremely deceitful to a degree he never has been before in obtaining GOP help but getting in a tiff because Dems are fighting back with matching methods. Astute pols should know that this particular type of complaint just makes you look dumb and irritable. He should get out of politics now before he becomes such a bad joke that all his future work(and legacy) will be dragged down in the fiasco. I'm serious and mean this kindly but I doubt Nader can see straight or change his mind or recognize his own error and prejudice.

But like the fighting Dems and the the desperate GOP ops, who really cares what he thinks right now anyway? It is another money pit and energy drain for the GOP.

It is heartening to see the Dems fighting back and very little of what outrages Mr. Nader seems illegal. In principle, running as a shill stalking horse ONLY to the benefit of the GOP candidate, hardly gives him any of the high ground he has been accustomed to speak from.
