I Will NOT "Go To Sleep" After KERRY Is Elected
I will NOT stop protesting
I will NOT stop fighting
I will NOT stop careing
I will NOT stop my activism
I will NOT stop working for PEACE
I will NOT stop emailing
I will NOT stop calling
I will NOT stop writing
I will NOT stop my advocacy
I will NOT stop my bitching
I will NOT stop my public display of my LIBERAL views

And if I read another request that I should NOT vote Kerry REGARDLESS of what state I live in, I will likely HURL. FUCK THAT.

You can protest a regime who will NEVER listen to you or protest a GOVERNMENT who likely WILL listen to you.

BUGGER OFF!

2. You really must...
Do something about the ambiguity in your posts. It's really hard to understand what the point is that you are trying to make. ;-)

5. Amen to that--and I want the MEDIA to be way harder on JFK

9. They already are. . .they can't stop writing misleading headlines
They can't stop quoting him out of context if they quote him at all.

There will be many a "filegate" level scandal. . .there will be many calls for the return of Ken Starr.

6. We all
must arm ourselves with the FACTS; forget "truth"...that's subjective. Give us the facts, that we may be able to make intelligent decisions. Stop treating the adults like children; we don't need "daddy" to hold our hand anymore.

I'd like to add to your list:

I will NOT be apathetic about my government; even if certain situations do not SEEM to affect me directly, they probably do in the long run.
I WILL be informed (and DU is an excellent place to do that), so that I can make those intelligent decisions.
I will NOT be afraid to stand up for what I know.

Thank you, Matcom. Terrific post, as always.

7. I am with you.
I was discussing this with a friend the other day. Too much has been wrong for too long. Winning on Nov 2 is just a start. We will continue to fight, to repair the damage that has been done to our country.

8. It's our job to keep Kerry in line
Love him or hate him we gotta get him in and then make sure he understands he works for us not the other way around.

10. I'm going to sew...
a Miribilia pattern called "Lady of the Flag" for Senator Kerry, to send to him once he takes his Oath of Office. On the back of the work, I'd like to write a little something as a gentle reminder:

The Emperors of Rome, when they gave audience to a returning warrior, had someone walk beside that warrior on his way to the throne, saying "Remember, thou art mortal". I would say to you, President Kerry: "Remember you are a public servant. We will be watching you."

11. That's a great idea
To me comes off as the type that would really appreciate that and probably hang it up somewhere we he could see it at all times just to remind him of the kind of people who are responsible for putting him in the president's chair.
