23. Hillary has tried for weeks to insinuate this thought into the campaign.

She wanted to bring the topic into the discussion. She simply misjudged how it would play out. She is a sociopath, so she doesn't always understand how real humans with real emotions react. Her approach to the RFK mention makes sense to her (because she lacks a conscience), and she cannot understand why the public (having normal human emotions) reacts now as it does.

Seeing her problem, however, she immediately tries to take on the appearance and actions of a real human, which led to her backtracking statement today. Notice, however, there's no real emotion behind her backtracking. She is only upset that her scheme failed.

This has backfired on her in a way she could not see coming, because she lacks the human qualities that allow US to be almost universally reviled by her earlier statements about RFK.
