So she is exhausted, scared, desperate , BUT
absolutely NO EXCUSE for the remark, which selectively "disremembers" the conditions under which Bill won the nomination (ie California).

Did she think no one pains at the memory of Bobby's demise -- BEFORE he had captured the majority of delegates?

Did she think that only a catastrophic "event" could garner the Precious Prize?

No matter -- if she had dropped out long ago and such a terrible event occurred, she would be in a much better position to garner support from us Dems.

The haste of her backtracking illuminates her miscalculation -- and that is what it was - a Rovian subliminal calculation that such an atrocious reason would legitimize her ambitions.

1. I truly feel sorry for her.
Some days she pisses me off beyond belief. In fact, most days she does. But today, I see a desperate woman who is coming unhinged. She has nothing else in her life now but her political career & she has put her all into it. And now she's lost that.

I hope she can find peace & some happiness in her life.

2. Having the ability to
think straight under pressure is something a President needs. She showed how lacking she is today.

3. I saw her apology. She said she was tired.
Now I have to wonder how she'd answer that 3 A.M. call.

4. Unfortunately, she can't get a continual pass on the "tired" thing...
Before people start questioning her preparedness.

Remember that "Bosnia-gate" was supposedly the result of "fatigue" as well.

5. She's been pushing the envelope for months now.
It was only a matter of time before she said something she couldn't spin back.

'Anything could happen,' eh? I think it just did.
