I think its pretty decent, sure there will be disagreements but would Bush ever have something remotely simliar to this, sure its not as left as you want but I say its a pretty good plan and a heck of later better than Bush.

1. I read up on his energy policies...and I'm not impressed....

I became a bit of a Kerry convert at the end of the primaries because he was talking a lot about energy issues in his stump speech.

When I read his list of grab bag policies listed at the link you post, I am left a little unimpressed. It looks like cookies for the the coal and natural gas industries.

If they wanted to be ahead of the curve, they should be talking about apolloalliance and the impending hydrogen economy.

Also, their "proposal" for 20% energy from renewables by 2020 is anemic. Accd to a Fortune magazine article out about a year ago this is going to happen naturally - and so is the hydrogen economy.

In other words, Kerry and Edwards are thinking small.

Yes, they are light years better than the Bush fascist criminal political machine but I have no warm fuzzy here.

alt fuels and hybrid cars now - and that is what is on offer.

Indeed Fusion may well make it out of the lab in 50 years.

it is just not a deal breaker - or maker - for me

peace

5. I am not talking about nuclear fusion....
Hydrogen as a vehicle for energy transfer...there is a fleet of buses running on it in Chicago right now....

Hydrogen is the next big thing....it's where the internet was 10 to 15 yrs ago...

It's a 10 to 20 year thing, not a 50 year thing.
