Who's watching Obama in Boca!? Jewish loyalty test question being boo'd by Jewish audience!
Edited on Thu May-22-08 04:05 PM by Poll_Blind
Sweet!

Guy asked a three minute question which was a preamble for "Name some Jews you know who are anti-Terrorist and pro-Israel?"

I shit you not. It was great because the crowd could see it coming and the hisses started before the guy even got it all out. And Obama's taking the time to go though the guy's question, point by point.

  I love this guy!

4. Edited to include a synopsis of the 2-3 minute question.
Resounding applause now as he finished his answer. Support for Israel has been a big issue and will get bigger, especially in the G.E.

6. Haha, wow. The guy sounds like a douche...
But Obama proves, once again, that he is a class act.

3. I am!
they had had enough of his going on and on and on with no actual question being asked.

5. Did you catch all of Obama's answer? I thought he didn't skirt a thing...
..and did a great job addressing the issue.

7. that is what I really respect about him
he says what he thinks no matter what audience he is in front of, and he is always clear and respectful in his answer.

8. I've noticed this about him- he doesn't get that glazed double-speak face that...
...most politicians do when they are asked a question they don't want to answer/can't answer. And can't pretty much everyone here spot politician doublespeak from about 10 miles away? As an Obama supporter, this is one of his characteristics which really won me over. Specifically, his historic and frank speech on race.

He actually addresses the question. As a voter, I didn't think politicians (much less ones running for President) were allowed to, heh heh.

13. Too long for me to attempt to post verbatim but he hit the following points:
Yes, I know the guy you were talking about, he was a professor when I was. Just because I talked with this man and his wife on a regular basis does not mean that I am the beliefs they carry. I've also spoken with some people who have made anti-Black statements as well. We've all heard the old canard of "Some of my best friends are Jewish" or "Some of my best friends are Black" and use that as an excuse. I'm not going to play that game. (He then did go on to name someone I'm not familiar with who is a big supporter of the Israeli government)

He covered quite a lot of ground. Catch the reply when it comes on (C-SPAN?)

and has confidence in his ability to communicate the truth of the matter.

14. yes. at first, I didn't like his aaah... that he would vocalize before he answered
but now I realize that was him forming his answer to avoid verbal diarrhea.

9. Takes a great jab at Bush: (paraphrasing) "I'm not going to look into Putin's eyes and..."
..."say I see a kindred spirit. I don't make my foreign policy that way."

(huge applause and laughter)
