Because Kerry said he would have voted the same way on Iraq
he is now getting heat from the administration who are using this in their talking points today.

Why does Kerry fall into such easy traps?

1. Because Repukes say "Kerry is bad"
you give Kerry heat.

Why do you fall for such obvious ploys?

2. Spin Bush Spin, it is what he does
They are lying about what JK said. . .it is pretty much like this:

3. Maybe he's trapping Bush
And Bush just played into his hands with that bullshit speech today.

So now Kerry can just counter easily with the facts on what he said:

And knowing this Kerry is probably thinking See ya at the debates schmuck!!

(I will take your position on this IF and ONLY IF Kerry does not shove the truth back at *)

8. While I don't agree with Kerry's vote on the IWR...
...these quotes help me put things into perspective better. Thank you.

4. It was a damned if you do damned if you don't Q&A
If he'd said no again, they would have called him a flip flopper. Putting a simple answer back to a simple question puts it back in bushes lap. Bush is an idiot, and this little squabble will show it soon.

5. Kerry is honest
he said he'd vote the same way on Iraq and he means it. bush, on the other hand, just keeps changing his story to suit him. But Kerry is the "flip-flopper". I can't figure it out.

6. Of course...
...it was an obvious trap, and they would have jumped him regardless his response. We need to STOP ANSWERING REPUBLICAN ATTACKS and START DEMANDING ANSWERS. I am SICK TO DEATH of this GOP tactic. When WE ask a question that demands a response, they toss out some obvious ass trap, and our elected/nominated leaders leap right in.

What I'd like to see, especially after Kerry pissed off a large portion of the "base", is for the Kerry team to, having hopefully seen the trap, turn it around. Everytime I hear a pundit repeat the "I voted for the 87 billion before I voted against it", I want to see SOMEONE say, "And Bush threatened to veto the 87 billion, until he whined and bitched like a baby about it to get it changed, before he signed off on it." We HAVE RESPONSES to every one of these traps, WHY THE HELL AREN'T WE MORE AGGRESSIVELY USING THEM?!?

7. The left falls into traps
Kerry said AUTHORITY, which was given way back in October 2002. The reporter twisted it to supporting the war. As usual, the left can be counted on to kneejerk just the way Rove wants them to. Like puppets on a string. Pull the war string and the left freaks out.

10. Giving Bush the green light on authority
Is giving Bush the green light for war. After all, it wasn't called the Iraq WAR Resolution for nothing.

The left IS and HAS been "freaking out" because so many damn fools fell for ABB that we are now forced into the position of voting for a pro-war candiate unless we go third party. Yipee!

11. Giving Bush authority to go to war
is not a lot smarter than giving a 2 year old a gun, in my opinion.

12. Authority = green light
Kerry made his own trap and refuses to get out of it by simply saying that his vote for the war was a mistake. Instead he tries to spin his way out of it.

9. Well, if the best Rove can up with is, "Kerry is as stupid as Bush",
they're in bad shape.
