Five Days at the NRA and Not One Mention of McCain
Wow. Guess he really had an impact.

:sarcasm:

My spouse just returned from five days of participating at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago. As you all know, McCain addressed this group.

What an impact his speech must have had:

He said that in five days of talking to his colleagues in cuisine, not one person mentioned McCain. He didn't hear one word about McCain on the floor where the exhibition booths were.

Incredible.

Do you think if Obama had spoken to the NRA, it would have been the same?

Cher

p.s. from restaurant.org, NRA's web site:

NOTE: The National Restaurant Association is a nonpartisan organization. Invitations were extended to all three Presidential candidates several months ago. Senator McCain was able to accept the invitation, but scheduling conflicts due to the continued contested primary season have prevented the two Democratic candidates from confirming an appearance at the Show at this time.

3. Gas prices are going to hurt the Restaurant industry;
As incomes decline and people have less to spend and as a fill-up cost more and more. I'm sure that they are wary about " More of the same McCain"
