I believe he has held back because of his ties to the Clintons and out of respect but enough is enough. From here on out there is NOTHING to be gained by continuing this charade.

Please Mr Gore!

2. He could always...
...throw his hat in ring at the convention...which is perfectly legal.

I don't think the Obama-holics would like that.

3. Agreed...but when you think about it wouldnt that hurt Hillbot feelings
that they (as women) would think his coming out (which is the biggest of all) is the ultimate "Me man, here me growl!" in support of another man which would drive a bigger wedge into this thing? My guess he cant come out despite wanting to and will only wait until all is resolved (translation: when it is worthless)

28. exactly
"the Alpha Male steps in to bully the errant female into submission--" That would be  and disrupt the situation even more.

Another Al Vs Bill skirmish??? As much as we'd like to see the Battle of the Titans

I DON'T think so.....

Gore will wisely stay out of it.

Hillary's top female supporters need to have a chat with her in the back room.

She needs "permission" to quit.

4. Don't waste your breath
Hillary wont quit until McCain is assured of winning.
She's in this for Herself and no-one else.
She's already poisoned the waters.
She wont be happy till McCain wins.

6. Al Gore can't end this. Al Gore and twenty or so other SDs can.
I actually believe Pelosi's endorsement carries more political weight than Al's.

10. God Bless MSM for "Annointing" the Nominee long before that...
Edited on Wed May-21-08 07:25 AM by quantass
you hear it a lot on TV that he is the likely nominee and focus mostly on Obama-McCain .... so to the viewing public they will already know who the nominee is long before the convention and will begin forgetting about Hillary despite her trivial persuits under the carpet and in the cave. She has become Huckabee and the media has moved on to greener, more exciting pastures

13. bzzzt. EThe convention in modern politics is largel a
coronation and party building exercise. Just as McCain is the presumptive nominee, so too will Obama be when he shortly attains the number of delegates needed to win. The summer will be about building unity in the dem party.

12. If he approached Hillary & Bill I believe he could be the one to stop this self destructive Primary
If there is a shred of decency left in her she would.

The only way for her to win at this point is by destroying the Party's chances in November.

9. One step forward, one step back this year.

Probably unintentionally, this is a wish for the father-figure, big daddy, head-of-household to come lay down the law. Let's drop that one.

They voted Hillary just to muddy the waters.

I cannot believe any self respecting Democrat would actually vote for McSame.
