Women Activists Organizing A Boycott against NBC andMSNBC
Boycott of NBC and MSNBC--OReilly Factor Show.

Two of the Women were guests and explained their anger over
how Hilary has been treated and the Manipulation of Election
by Media. These groups are working at rhe state level.
They were every bit as ticked as some on this Board.

20. The correct question is: Did they bring loofahs and falafels.
That women would go on O'Reilly's show to complain about how women are treated on another network - just amazing. Simply amazing.

MSNBC carries Chris Matthews.

9. The Factor is indeed a Fox Program,. The Women came
on Fox to explain their cause. The Factor gets the most eyeballs.

I watch Fox so I know what the opposition is up to. They have
been having a lot of Democrats on.

Maybe the reason no one they didn't go after the Great One is because no slimeball politician has ever received the preferential treatment from the press that Obama has.

And yet, no politician has ever been as big a baby as Obama has about the minuscule criticism he's received.

29. It wasn't a scam. It was a documented demonstration that your candidate is clueless
--about modern communication methods. Repeating a lie three times after a YouTube video demonstrating that you've lied demonstrates that Clinton 2008 = Nixon 1960 (clueless about TV). This is stooping pretty low to get "military" street cred, and McSame would destroy her with it. How utterly stupid to be campaigning on "experience" and "toughness" when your Rethug opponent absolutely creams you in those categories.

Probably has something to do with this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x5986834

BTW, Ruccia, despite being a Democratic (and Hillary supporter) member of a gay rights organization, ran against John Kasich for Congress and kept implying that his chief of staff, whom Kasich lived with, was having an affair with the congressman.

A pretty despicable group. But then, I don't expect any better from Shillbots. :puke:

48. A disgrace to women's rights
They have no interest in furthering any noble cause. Now that the candidate to whom they have become extremely unhealthily and abnormally attached has missed out on the nomination, they would rather a man with a proud record of warmongering and an archaic position on women's rights emerge victorious because, well, he'd be beating the man who beat their woman.

Pathetic & dangerous. I'd like to see these women prosecuted and imprisoned for murder if their "work" pays off and a John McCain administration enters into more appalling wars - Lord knows they'd deserve it. Sickening people.

17. As a feminist, I want to scream. Hillary Clinton is NOT losing because of sexism.
Hillary Clinton is losing because she's a horrible candidate. Hillary Clinton is losing because, in a game that was hers to lose....she found a way to lose. She's been untruthful, she's been erratic, she's been tone-deaf, she was careless with her money and she's tried her best to ruin the candidacy of the first African-American to be a serious candidate for the presidency.

Women are NOT mad that Hillary Clinton is losing. The media has NOT treated her poorly. She got better media than she deserved, for longer than she should have gotten it.

This 50+ year old original feminist has no intention of boycotting MSNBC, or NBC. Those women do not speak for me.

Hillary is a much better candidate than Obama. As for her trying to ruin Obama's candidacy, her candidacy is equally historical or have we had other women presidents that I'm not aware of? Besides, she's his opponent, of course she's going to go after him, just as he went after her.

You Obama supporters seem to think that this extremely inexperienced man walks on water.

23. Last Saturday I participated in a 50 state event to register voters led by the Obama campaign.
But this is what Clinton supporters are doing. I agree that there has been some awful misogyny directed at Sen. Clinton (then again I have to ask, that makes her experience different from every other woman's in what way?) but what these women are doing is not productive. A good clue to that is the fact that they are going on a known sexual harasser and rage-aholic pig O'Reilly's show. What's next for them? Howard Stern?

Did Hillary "Play The Gender Card"?
By Greg Sargent - November 2, 2007, 3:51PM

So what really happened here, anyway?
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2007/11/did_hillary_play_the_gender_card.php
After the debate, Hillary's campaign sent out an email describing her as "one tough woman" and deriding the nature of the "piling on" that had ensued. And the next day, AFSCME president Gerald McEntee endorsed Hillary with remarks that almost certainly had plenty of input from the Hillary campaign: "Six guys against Hillary. I’d call that a fair fight. This is one strong woman.:
So just after the debate the campaign didn't argue that she was being attacked because she's a woman. But the campaign clearly did try to strongly emphasize the gender picture here.
--------------------

Hillary pollster Mark Penn subsequently said in a conference call that the image of six men beating up on Hillary would play well with female voters. And anonymous Clinton advisers told the Associated Press that "there is a clear and long-planned strategy to fend off attacks by accusing her male rivals of
gathering against her."
Though one should approach anonymous stuff with caution, this doesn't seem especially difficult to believe.
---------------------------------------------------------
Bottom line: As best as we can determine, Hillary never explicitly made the accusation that the men were piling up on her because she's a woman. But you'd have to be very credulous indeed not to believe that the campaign is explicitly trying to emphasize, for various political reasons, the fact that she's a woman getting hammered by a bunch of men. I don't know if that constitutes "playing the gender card" or not -- the exact meaning of the term is unclear, at least to me -- but that's obviously what's going on.

CLINTON PLANNED TO USE GENDER CARD ALL ALONG

RON FOURNIER, AP - Clinton's advisers, speaking on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss internal matters, said there is a clear and long-planned strategy to fend off attacks by accusing her male rivals of gathering against her. The idea is to change the subject while making Clinton a sympathetic figure, especially among female voters who often feel outnumbered and bullied on the job. As one adviser put it, Clinton is not the first presidential candidate to play the "woe-is-me card" but she's the first major female presidential candidate to do it.

61. Lame and self-destructive
Makes certain of Hillary supporters look as if they are completely incapable of seeing any shortcomings in their chosen one (familiar language, eh, you O-bashing Hillroids?). Not to mention that two of Hillary's most stalwart media supporters (Joey Scar and Pat the Knife) work for MSNBC, and Tweety, much as they hate him, regularly refers to Obama's inability to get the support of "regular" (i.e. "white") people.

63. I wouldn't mind boycotting all...
the cable media talk shows...oops..I already do! I commend these women for their boycott, but their allegiance with FOX news just makes it another freep show.

64. wish somebody would do the same to all the racists
who keep talking about 'the white vote'and the 'black vote'

this break down of voters in to racial crap is uncalled for.
we are all human, and we are all americans.
why do they insist on treating us like we are different?
