Anyone see Bartcop forum - SwiftBoat vets & Freepers connected?
"From the bartcop.com forum comes more information on the webmaster for "SVAK"-- Mr. Scott Swett, aka "Independent Times" at Free Republic dot com; and also a director (on the board) of Free Republic Network -- the Parent Org. of Free Republic. In fact, some of the info from SVAK is on the FRN server...

The poster, "Backlash2" has posted the most recent IRS 990-ez tax statement from FRN listing Scott Swett as a director, and multiple cross-references I.D.-ing him with both orgs.

So this whole thing is just another FREEPER enterprise.
Worth looking at, there's been some hot discussion, and lots of scrutiny... "

2. And Conason and Brock nailed them here (Salon):
On August 6, Salon.com's Joe Conason documented links between Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and the conservative online forum www.FreeRepublic.com. Conason noted that the designer of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website is Robert A. Hahn, a director of the Free Republic Network, a conservative activist organization affiliated with FreeRepublic.com. Scott Swett, who is listed as the webmaster of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth website, swiftvets.com, also appeared on FOX News Channel host Sean Hannity's August 5 radio show to discuss the group. Swett posts frequently to FreeRepublic.com, using the pseudonym "Interesting Times," and is also a director of the Free Republic Network. The wintersoldier.com website to which Swett has contributed articles is a project of the Free Republic Network.

<snip>

On FreeRepublic.com, Corsi has, among other things, said that "ragheads" are "boy buggers"; referred to "John F*ing Kerry"; called Senator Hillary Clinton a "Fat Hog"; referred to her daughter as "Chubby Chelsie" Clinton; referred to Janet Reno as "Janet Rhino"; called Katie Couric "Little Katie Communist"; suggested Kerry was "practicing Judaism"; and expressed the wish that a small plane that had crashed into a building in Los Angeles had instead crashed into the set of NBC'S The West Wing, thereby killing actor Martin Sheen.

5. Standard wingnut MO
This is becoming more and more common amongst the wingnut community, to create multiple organizations, spanning a cosmetically diverse variety of purposes, yet with each board of directors dominated by the same individuals. For instance, on immigration, FAIR, the Foundation for American Immigration Reform was the first creature of John Taunton, the rabid anti-immigrant advocate, but he's set up a dozen or more organizations ranging from the ostensibly nonpartisan thinktank Center for Immigration Studies all the way to white supremacy groups and everything in between. The idea is to assemble as broad a coalition of support as possible, so he's created venues for everyone who might have an axe to grind with immigrants for any reason, including environmentalists who worry about population issues, labor groups who worry about losing jobs to immigrants, culturephobes who worry about official English, aryan nation types who worry about the pollution of the races, in short, anybody who will support his cause. On the surface, it looks like a host of separate entities operating independently, but, in reality, they were all created by the same people, are run by the same people, receive funding from the same sources (mostly Scaife Mellon), and all coordinate their actions at the policy level. It's a formidable organizational strategy which very effectively conceals the uniform hate agenda underlying each of the ostensibly independent organizations which in reality are all parts of a coordinated network of advocacy groups run by a small handful of right-wing extremists.

great work fellow DU'ers...

I have sent many many many emails out to major newspapers and tv outlets to cover this stuff...perhaps they will...perhaps they won't...but if enough people keep the pressure up...eventually some news station will see the light and report on this...

fingers crossed...
