Heard Ed Gillespie this morning...
he mentions that the repukes will be better than the democrats at their convention because they didn't mention Kerry's record...

THEN he goes on to say that he will talk about the future with Bush and not go on and on about the last 4 years but what Bush can do the NEXT four years..is this contradictory...or a "flip flop"

In other words...Kerry talked about the future and what hs plan is...and how bad its been the last 4 years...
Bush doesn't want to talk about the last four years..and go on the plan for the future...
BUT Kerry should of mentioned his 20 year record in the senate...but BUSH isn't going to mention is 4 years in the white house??? is this odd? they talk in circles

2. exactly
Cheney talks about Kerry's supposed "lost years," while Cheney's own official bio doesn't mention Halliburton, and Bush doesn't even remember the 70's.

3. They can't really get too much traction
with "what has Kerry done in the Senate" is what they found out through internal polling or something.

I agree--that question about Kerry does spark the question in people's mind "well, what the f**k has BUSH done for 4 years while in the White House?"

It is a loser talking point and they've all but abandoned it.

4. Ed Gillespie is a Clown
He seems like a nice enough guy, but when he appeared on the Daily Show he couldn't stop laughing like a fool. It was really odd -- he must have been incredibly nervous.

5. Have you seen Bush's latest ad?
It's his feeble attempt at being positive. Not one mention of his record - just jinoistic "Morning in America" bullshit.

Fact: Bush cannot run on his record because his record is, in large part, a record of failure.
