Who is this "Kerry Edwards"person?-a report from near the middle

Okay so I talked to two of my oldest friends last night.

Both are voting for Kerry. We were mostly talking sports and what is going on in our lives (we don't see much of each other very much) and they both started talking politics/the campaign. They know that I am a pol/news junky and they know where I stand and I am very careful not to just start spewing out news stories and such so I listened.

One friend is in the real estate type business. He loved Clinton's speech, LOVED Edwards speech (he sold him on this ticket), and put Kerry's speech in third-loved Obama too. He said that the thing he likes most about Kerry/Edwards is that so far they haven't gone negative-W has nothing to run on so he HAS to go negative but he doesn't think that most people want to hear how much the other guy SUCKS but what are you going to do or not do. He agrees with me that we can't just yank the troops out of Iraq-we have an obligation (no matter how wrong it was to start with) to stay and leaving is probably the worst thing we can do for ourselves at this point security wise. I asked if he could work on his brother but he told me what I already knew there is NO WAY that his brother is ever going to vote Dem. He was shocked that the latest poll in Va. only has W up by 3 points. I warned him about the really negative "Swift boat for Justice" BS coming down the line-he says it will backfire on the Repubs.

The last time I talked to the fourth member of the clan he said he didn't care much for Kerry Edwards but that W had to go and now.

I also talked to the remaining member of the "900 pounds of Id" and he echoed a lot of what the first guy (above) said. He can't volunteer due to his current family situation but he said that he and his son went down to the charity duck (rubber duck) race on the James last week and the Dems were there handing out Kerry Edwards stickers. I just talked to a co-worker who went to a meeting last night and apparently the Va. Repubs didn't have anyone down there. Anyway my friend said that on three different occasions at the duck race he heard people say "Who is this Kerry Edwards guy?" or something to that effect. They thought it was one name, someone named Kerry Edwards.

Perhaps the Johns should buy some time on HGTV or Trading Spaces-it was that kind of crowd.

1. The signs should have Kerry in bigger letters than Edwards

That would solve the problem....I've thought that since I first saw the Kerry-Edwards signs.....It does look like one name when both names are the same size...:)
