Schumer Catches “Dream” Fever
he's changed his mind about obama/clinton ticket

“Hillary and Barack have both run very strong and great races, and I think they’d be a strong ticket together.”

That's the guy.
I'm a NYer and both my senators suck. And Vito Fossella is my congressman. I think I need a new residence.

14. I don't know, yet.
I'm assuming Fossella is out... if he runs again, I don't see how he could win, and I am sure the rethugs believe that as well. Every day the NY Daily News writes about some new aspect of the scandal.

The rethugs seem to want to run the Staten Island DA instead. I don't know anything about him, but SI folks are 90% Reagan Democrats who would vote for any rethug with a perception of a clean record. If they boot Fossella I am not optimistic about the Dems taking the seat.

I think insiders knew that Fossella was completely dirty, which explains why the Congressional rethugs started talking openly about him stepping down within hours of the news about his DUI. Since then, new revelations have emerged almost daily... the DUI was just the tip of the iceberg.

16. Can't relocate just yet, but I'm compiling a list...
on your coast, Seattle and Portland are at the top, since my two kids live in those cities (and a grandchild is due in Portland any day now!).

What district are you in?

18. May I suggest California's Central Coast?...
Lois Capps is our congressional rep. She's not aggressive, but she is a solid liberal Democrat. She was a nurse for decades, and her focus now is health care and, especially, getting senior citizens the help they need with funding their medications.

11. NO Hillary as VP. "Want to swim, Barak? Here, have an anvil"....
Another poster posted the quote in the title, and I think it is a great visual of what Hllary on Obama's ticket would be.

Here are some reasons why Hillary as Obama's VP would be a disaster for the campain, for OBama, and for the country:

1. The very foundation of OBama's campaign is to change the way politics is played in D.C. If he chose Hillary as VP, it would make the very foundation of his campaign a lie, and paint him as a big hypocrite, willing to sacrifice everything for political expediency. The very reason that many Dems are supporting OBama is because we have watched for 8 years politicians like Hillary sacrifice the good of the country AND Democratic Party values for her own selfish reasons and for political expediency. We've watched Hillary and Dem politicians like her more often endorse with her votes the Bush/neocon agenda than stand up and protest he Bush/neocon agenda. We want change, and Hillary is not going to bring change.

2. Many Democrats will not vote for Hillary, period. I am one of them. If she was on a ticket with Jesus Christ Himself, I would not vote for Jesus.

3. The Clintons pig-slop Bush/Rove/Atwater style of politics is the very thing Obama is running against, what he wants to change, and what many of his supporters like best about his campaign. It would b impossibe for OBama to have a politics-for-change campaign with the Clintons going around and spewing their pig-slop, divisive crap. Indeed, the Clintons might purposely "slip" and revert back to their old pig-slop politics in order to undercut OBama's campaign.

4. Hillary has repeatedly implied that McCain would be better in the White House than Obama would be. The Clintons are well known to be vindictive; Hillary is known for her petty vindictiveness carried to such an extreme that it ends up hurting her as much, or more, than it does her target. Giving her a VP slot would be like writing her a blank check to cut Obama off at the knees.

5. As VP, she would be a party to some of OBamas inner-circle strategies. Based on the Clintons' pig-slop politics, her preference of McCain over Obama, and her strong allegiance to the worst of rightwing political forces, Obama may as well publish his inner-circle strategies on the front of the NYTimes. It is, IMO, more likely that the Clinton would covertly slip the information to their rightwing pals than it is likely that they would not.

6. Giving Hillary a VP position would be ensuring more mayhem in 2012 when, certainly, Hillary would want to run again. She would have more than enough ammunition to tear Obama down.

7. GIving Hillary that kind of power would undercut Obama's goal of increasing jobs for American workers. The Clintons are firmly in the hip pockes of India outsourcing companies, and increasing her power in American politics would increase her ability to send our jobs to India.

8. The Clintons are so ruthless, power-mad and without ethics that having Hillary one breath away from being president is courting disaster.

9. The Clintons are o ruthless, power-mad and without ethics that having Hillary one impeachment away from the presidency is courting disaster. We've seen how she's made up shit about OBama in the campaign. There is no reason to expect her to do anything diffrent in the future, and I cn easily see her entrapping or framing OBama to get him removed from office.

10. If Hillary was VP, the Clintons would be constantly doing their best to challenge Obama, and force their own agenda on the Obama administration.

11. The Clintons are prone to create their own scandals. Bill Clinton's Dick-Gates during his administration distracted the national agenda for year. He got involved with Lewinsky when he was still being investigted for sexual harassment in the Jones case. He is reported to currently have a girlfriend, Belinda Stronach. Obama would be tainted by the Clintons' scandals, further undermining his administration and reelection bid in 2012.

12. The Clintons' racial divisiveness IS. NOT. ACCEPTABLE, just as a given, but especially as a VP and part of the Obama administration.

13. Despite the Clintons' delusions that the GOP voters will vote for Hlllary, they GOP voters would NOT. The loathe Hillary. They hated the entire Bill Dick-Gates episodes. Obama would have less of a chance getting GOP voters to vote for him with Hillary as the VP.

14. We cannot, as a country, afford to have the bullshit the Clintons would pull if Hillary was VP. We need a united, forward-thinking

That's my short list of why Hillary should not be the VP. Many of the reasons are the same as my reasons why Hillary should not be in the White House because, if Hillary was VP, she would ACT like she was the president, and she would probably believe she was really the president. When she runs in 2012, she would do like she did with Bill's administration: claim she was an integral part of EVERYTHING good, even if she clearly was not.

I'm sure the Clintons and their supporters would LOVE to give Hillary a chance to use the VP position as a chance to bulldoze her way into the White House, but we, as Democrats and a country, cannot afford the avarice and greed of the Clintons and their supporters to derail us from our job of rebuilding our nation from the 8 year of destruction by Bush Jr and his GOP-collaborators in Congress, like Hillary Clinton.
