A spelling and grammar plea.
Please, folks, if you are going to post about somebody's else's intelligence, or post that you feel like your intellect was somehow insulted, at least use spell check. It detracts from your arguments if your spelling and grammar make your posts nigh unreadable.

Yes, I was willing to burn one of my allotted three posts on this, because the anti-Obama threads are littered with posts demonstrating a profound lack of care or concern for one's readers. While I certainly recognize that not everybody has the same education, and that every vote counts, and that every voter is important, it does your cause no favors to exemplify (and even amplify) a stereotype.

6. Content is much more important than spelling
It looks like you are mad a Hillary supporter who posted an anti-Obama thread.

11. mad a Hillary supporter?
What do you mean? I agree that content is important, but if a reader cannot discern the content, effective communication of the message fails to happen.

9. Fair enough, Maddy.
I don't have a decent grammar checker, nor do I have the assistance of an editor. Would you like to point out my errors, so that I may learn from them, and thus, avoid repeating them?

15. I've never considered commas proper grammatical elements
they confer no information that cannot be inferred from the actual semantic elements and their respective positions in the sentence.

22. Frankly, they're unnecessary as well.
They make it easier, but sentences are entirely workable without them. Try reading many original Latin documents: it's often a wall of (capital) text with no punctuation, frequently no spacing, yet somehow its readable and an entire society got by quite well with them.

18. "a woman without her man is nothing"
Place punctuation, capitals, etc. in the above sentence accordingly. :) (I forget who came up with this one, but it can be fun to see the variations, and who creates which variations).

A woman, without her man, is nothing.

20. I try but
I admit that I'm not very good at puncuation etc. I had a good private school education and attended a couple of years of college but didn't graduate. I was just never good at that kind of thing (guess I didn't pay enough attention). I KNOW I make constant mistakes and it bothers me but I do the best I can. I hope that what I say won't be discounted because I don't say it the right way.

37. Ah, I can see it on a bumper sticker: 'We're The Obama Crowd: Finding Ever New Ways...
To Call People That Don't Agree With Us Stupid (fill in the "blank screen") Trash'

Keep up the good work; you should be working for Monsanto  Though I would have considered hyphenating 'nigh-unreadable'.

And while I understand the admonition to live one's life through DU spell check; a hyphen so employed passes through both DU & ieSpell's program as well. Offering editorial enhancements capable of lulling the perplexed. Hopefully even to your side
