Is McCain Trying to Lose Michigan?
Our competition...

ROCHESTER HILLS - Say you're running for president and dropping by the most economically ravaged state in the nation.

Your Democratic rivals are too busy butchering one another to campaign here, much less notice 7.2 percent unemployment, record foreclosures and skyrocketing demand at local food banks.

So naturally, you'd give a speech on child pornography and human trafficking around the world, right?

1. That's McLame, all right.
Goes to Michigan and doesn't talk about the economy.

He's got nothing to say that people in Michigan want to hear, anyway.

3. I'm hoping to retire there in a few years.
Might be more than a few, but I might be able to wrangle telecommuting.

I love it there. My favorite place, and I have friends there, too.

4. My dad retired up there
He worked for the post office and transfered up there the last 10 years of his service.

My brother tends bar and plays in a local band - Liquid Courage. Catch them next time you are in town.

5. Which bar?
I will remember that, and let my lucky friends know.

I expect to get up there at least twice this year (I'm in Maryland now).

Fore! And of course. . .

9. Holy crap, he's going to lose!
I read through the whole thing. I couldn't stop--it was like reading a train wreck. The MI GOP is running Hoogendyk against Levin? That whackjob?! They pushed Cox out of the McCain campaign?! He's one of the most popular guys in that party, for crying out loud. And to ignore the Mackinac conference entirely?! Is he insane? That's the GOP's biggest event of the year, the moron.

Who the heck told McCain to give that speech?! I'm telling ya, we need to get Obama up here and give a couple of his speeches. He'll leave McCain in the dust.
