I think it would be a very good idea for Senator Clinton to phone up
her true-blue friends and supporters, Valeria Plame and Joe Wilson, arrange to meet with them alone, just the three of them, and conduct a frank talk on circumstances.

She ought to have hired them in the first place to run her campaign.

1. Better idea. She should STFU and go away.

2. It would be instructive for her, I believe, to hear from Joe & Val who
things stand.

The Plame-Wilsons aren't known for their inarticulate, withdrawn natures. I like them a lot. I love Val's dignity in those hearings and Joe's "up-yours" to Cheney and Rumsfeld et al.

Wolfson and Penn -- that bunch -- should not attend the meeting. Just Hil, Val, and Joe.

3. They wouldn't give her an unbiased opinion:

New Hillary Ad Stars Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame

New Hillary Ad Stars Joe Wilson And Valerie Plame
By Greg Sargent - May 9, 2008, 4:08PM

Hillary has a new ad for Oregon starring anti-Bush and anti-war heroes Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame...

video at link~

The use of the Wilsons, who are revered among anti-war rank-and-file Dems, is designed to appeal to the large, young activist population in Oregon.

"If you care about ending the war," Plame says, "we urge you to join us in supporting Hillary Clinton for president."

4. Well, gosh. I had higher hopes for the Plame-Wilsons' instinct for
political reality.

Maybe the ad was filmed before the flood of supes to Obama.

The longer Mrs. Clinton stays at the fair, the harder it will be to walk up the front porch steps after hours.

5. You know, Crusoe?
Think about it. 2 losers. Certainly didn't help us in 04. Aren't their fifteen minutes up?

6. Hi, Condem. I'm a Bella Abzug/Mario Cuomo Democrat, so I was
never "close" to Bill and Hill much.

Defended the Big Dog in the impeachment proceeding, but wasn't hogwild about the welfare program, and of course the wheels flew off her health care initiative before they even backed it out of the driveway.

I'm encouraged by Obama's chances against McCain and feel we can beat the old warmonger up pretty good.
