Gas Tax Holiday = Buying Votes. Plain n' Simple.
Edited on Tue May-06-08 03:34 PM by nomorewhopper
If I give you $30/month, would you vote for me? In exchange, I will promise to:

* Reduce tax revenues that our country desperately needs
* Hurt the environment by encouraging our dependence on oil
* Enrich the Saudis and Big Oil by promoting a government sponsored "fire sale" on their number one export
* Borrow huge quantities of money from China to cover the tax revenue gap. Our children will be able to pay up when the creditors come knocking.

While there are a multitude of options to help consumers, you can't think of many worse options than this one. It's a cheap way to appeal to the bottom of the barrel, no-education, let's sell out our country for whatever it takes crowd.

It's politicians like Clinton who should know better, but will do literally anything to get your vote, including selling out the country, the environment, and our children while Big Oil and the Saudis profit - just so she can get elected. But hey, she's in it to win it. Takes some big balls, urm, TESTICLES, to destroy the environment while at the same time enriching our enemies! A disgrace.

Anybody who votes for this kind of crap is an idiot.

Plain n' simple.

5. Some "idiots" like the idea of saving $30 for family needs. That's what elitists don't understand.

gas tax holiday is a hairbrained scheme with many negatives that far outweigh the positives

she's buying your vote

seemed like a good idea to take out that $400,000 home loan with no money down, but guess what, there is a downside!
