Brian Howey, from the Howey Political Report, just said the Limbaugh voters may determine outcome!
Edited on Tue May-06-08 01:04 PM by jenmito
Andrea Mitchell asked about the Repub. turnout and he said it was very heavy in IN. She asked how many he thought were really voting for the person they like and how many were trouble-makers who are voting for who they think will be the weakest candidate. He said he thinks there are Repubs. who will vote for Obama, but of the "Limbaugh voters," he said, "Is it 5%,10% of the mischief-makers? I don't know. I think that may determine who wins this election."

p.s. I don't want to use another thread, but now Hillary is saying the winning number is 2209! She's including FL and MI!

9. Hi Voltaire, where are you? and how is turnout?
I'm in Plainfield, in 4th CD. and turnout seems low or normal. I think that's a good thing for Obama in Hendricks, what do you think? I'm so nervous right now, I shouldn't have had coffee today, lol.

22. I am in Indianapolis 7th CD
I haven't had the news on ON PURPOSE, but if my polling place is any indication, the turnout is moderate to heavy today. Good luck down there in Plainfield, I have many friends who live out there.

2. He basically said that all sides have an advantage somewher
Republicans are screwing with our election, Clinton could be eating into Lake County, an Obama stronghold, and the Local News has hammered Hillary on the Gas Tax in Indiana.

13. That's true, some may truly want Obama, like my F-I-L, but with SO many repubs,
in Indiana, should we trust the outcome? I dunno...

all those Repub. votes are from true Hillary supporters.

23. Last night, Matthews brought it up. Most of the panel, though, dismissed it as Rush wanting to
seem more important and powerful than he is. They underestimate the stupidity of his listeners.

The old Clinton ways must even be putting off Republicans by now. It is what they stood against for years. Stand for something forll for anything.

20. Isn't there something that can be done?
Rush should be reprimanded publicly, at least. What happened with all the emails we sent to the FCC. Was there any response?

We're just blowin' in the wind with our concerns. I am so sick of this. Look at the lesson we are teaching our children. Since this administration has been in charge, it has been "frat time" in our government and in society. We have lost control. This trick is just another example.

24. I don't think so. We've written, called, etc. Faux pundits brag/joke about it, others TALK
about it, but just accept it and either think only a few people would actually do what Rush asks, or think it's no big deal.

21. The worst thing about this
is that it legitimizes Rush in his sick little mind, and makes him feel even more self-important. Then again, Hannity has also been playing a role in the Democratic primaries this year as well.God, what a nightmare!

I'm willing to say that Clinton may have won Indiana anyways, since late breaking deciders often break for her (though maybe it would have been different this time with the gas tax holiday issue), but I'm sure the Republicans voting for Hillary will expand her win. They had GOP radio show hosts from Indiana on CNN this morning, and they were also predicting that a lot of their listeners would vote for Hillary to drag the race on.

Joe Scarborough is such a....birdbrain! He has been going on and on for days about how he thinks that Clinton was going to sweep North Carolina and Indiana. Late this morning, Terry Mcauliffe was interviewed by Joe and Mika, and they noted that he acted a little less than confident than he usually does on the day of a primary. Of course, once Terry was off, Joe went off on a "Wow! So, Barack Obama is going to SWEEP the primaries! It is going to be a SWEEP for Obama tonight!". He then let the other panelists weight in, who all pretty much shot him down and said that they still thought it was going to be a split.

27. At least the MSM is admitting that this may be a factor in Indiana
Though they usually stop talking about the possible effects by the time exit polling rolls around.

The Huffington Post also has these reports about the GOP crossover voters-

"NORTH CAROLINA: Poor Republicans. Missing out on all the fun:

Only unaffiliated voters -- who have not registered as members of either party -- are allowed to choose whether to vote in the Democratic or Republican primary.

Bartlett said has heard about a dozen complaints, all in Wake County, from Republicans wanting to vote Democratic, though he suspects the situation is coming up in other places as well."

INDIANA: The Indy Star reports that even "hardcore" Republican districts are turning up to vote in the Democratic primary:

The two precincts at Broad Ripple Family Center selected Republican Jon Elrod over Democrat Andre Carson in March's special election for U.S. Congress. But by 9 a.m., just 21 voters in one of those precincts had requested Republican ballots -- out of 168 cast.

Amid heavy turnout, Republicans appeared to be crossing over in droves today in Marion County and suburban counties, where fewer Republican voters might impact down-ticket primary races.

29. At first I really worried about this in Texas
during our primary, but not a single solitary Repub person I talked to had done this, including family. I absolutely think there will be some that will do it, just not in the numbers Limbaugh would like people to believe. I think half those idiot callers that 'brag' about voting Dem are freakin' liars trying to get a chance to brag on his show.
Blowitoutcherass, Limpballs. :puke:
