Dang she is impressive. She gave it to him with every question. She did not allow him to get away with anything, and was obviously very knowledgeable about the issues, about history and about what we need in America.

Way to go Clinton!

She has been using using Rovian campaign tactics and she said that she would obliterate Iran. That woman hasn't reached across the isle, she has turned republican-lite in order to defeat Obama.

This is the new millennium. All metaphor, allegory, simile, colloquialism, and other such fanciful linguistic turns are legally required to be referenced to reality television. Similarly, "thrown under the bus" actually refers to a little-known American Gladiator named "Bus."

and Obamas are completely different, I can tell from your thinking
that yours is to sell your fellow Democrats out where as Obamas
is to work with them.

but don't let me spoil your party.

she was terrific. She had quick and detailed answers for every stab O'Reilly made; she handled him easily. Her comment about Moses was clever and hilarious. I know she's widely hated here on DU, but the fact is she was impressive.

I'm disgusted that Obama and Clinton both have legitimized that fucking propaganda outlet.

Oy, when will I get my country back?

12. I look at it as reaching for those who watch FoxNews
Both of them did well on FoxNews. They showed that they are not how FoxNews portrays them (and in the case of Clinton--the rest of the media).

Reaching to the other side is a good thing.

And I think Clinton showed that she can reach to the viewers without compromising. She was very true to her progressive ideals.

15. I didn't see the interview, because I've been proudly boycotting cable TV for six years now...
But I'm sure that she handled herself well.

I'm just pissed that Democrats are legitimizing the RNC's propaganda outlet, instead of continuing to shun it completely and totally.

Obama is every bit as guilty as is Clinton on that count, I'm sorry to say.

"Reaching to the other side is a good thing. "

Normally I'd agree, but when the target audience has a <1% chance of voting for any Democrat for anything ever, I'd say that it's time wasted, and damage done.

you go to where the viewers are. This is why all the freepers, including Mrs. Cheney, go on Jon Stewart, and this is why both Hillary and Obama went on Fox.

all day and all night.

Have you noticed that FOX is on in the airports, banks, coffee shops- that is why they are so dangerous.

I was in the bank the other day and people were watching Fox.
They hang the TV from the ceiling -- that was wise because I would like to put my foot through the damn TV when I see O'Reilly's face.

There is a special place in hell for that evil man.

And um, no there really isn't a large contingent of independents or moderates who watch "Faux".

See here: http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/international_security_bt/102.php?nid=

According to the link, it's only easily deluded Bushites who fuck with that travesty of a network.

Mind you, that study is 5 years old, so perhaps the viewership of ze Faux has transformed over the years, but I sincerely doubt it.

22. You apparently do NOT understand Murdoch. He isn't "right wing."
Where he has owned other franchises, he simply goes with the POWER.

If "the power" is to the left, so is he. If "the power" is to the right, there he is.

About the only consistent theme he shops is the "everyman, working stiff" one.

He's a media mogul. The fact that he's moving leftward by engaging our candidates, and providing them with an HOSPITABLE venue or three in which to speak, tells me that Fox sees what's happening, politically, in this country. That is why they are trending leftward. They're going with strength.

They unloaded that rightwing Nazi with the blond hair who looked like the quintessential SS toady. I'd wager that you'll see more personnel shifts and additions that include more lefties in the mix in future.

Hillary talks about issues, puts in the needed details, has plans to fix what is broken...

and Obama still working the old Hope and Change smoke and mirror routine. Maybe he should get a straw hat, a cane, and do a full dress soft shoe routine.

Obama is just plain not ready for prime time. Hillary is.

83. I actually thought he looked a bit
smitten with her. Maybe he really has a love/hate thing going. "I think thou doth protest too much," Mr. Bill. I could not blame him; she's a lovely person--and she looks good, too!

84. Not unlike Rev. Wright, HRC has devolved into an "tragic caricature" of what she used to be ...
Edited on Thu May-01-08 12:25 PM by ShortnFiery
HRC's morphed into an individual she (and her former supporters) loathed during the 1990s.

Her ACT on O'Rielly's show was "a tragic performance" of a Politician de-compensating into absurdity.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present "The Goddess of Pander and M.E. Obliteration." :nuke:
