1. I don't. I think they spoke and agreed Sen. Obama had to do what he did.
Rev. Wright sorely underestimated the hateful press. Wright is used to adulation from parishioners, and most black pastors of mega churches that I know have tremendous egos.
I'm just sorry it had to come to this and pray this is the end between to two of them.
7. I keep hearing that they were "so close" for 20 years
and I really don't buy it. How many people who've gone to the same church for 20 years are that close to their pastor? You see him maybe once a week for an hour or two. Maybe you have pancake dinner with him once a month with the 8,000 other parishioners; you have a private prayer session with him once in a while too.
I don't consider that to be an especially close relationship. I think that aspect to the story has been incredibly overblown.
Most people are not that close with their pastor. But I believe that it is justifiable to say that this case is different because of the way Obama spoke of Wright. He described him as family in his speech in PA. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, praised him numerous times and mentioned how Wright was his spiritual mentor in one his books.
She's on AC 360 now and she is Tough. She is letting it be known that her and Barack are moving forward and are done talking about. She also said that nobody could know what he or the media might do, but it's their jobs to focus on the issues and not distractions, and they won't talk about it anymore.
