Has your intelligence been insulted enough?

Over the last 4 days, I cannot turn on any news channel without seeing or hearing Reverend Wright. I'll tell you that not only am I sick of hearing it, I'm insulted by the assumption that everyone gives a shit about this. This is not an issue, it's a distraction.

Does Barack Obama share a brain with this guy? The answer to that is a flat out no, but the M$M would very happily lead you to believe that he does. How stupid do they think we are? How stupid are we to continue to take this in as if it's an actual issue?

My support of Barack Obama is not shaken, and it won't be by something as irrelevant as this. My issue is not so much with Reverend Wright as a person, but with people's ability to see past this distraction. Hey, freedom of speech, he's taking advantage of the limelight...how American of him.

Unbelievable that the media is going on and on about Wright AGAIN. If only they'd spend this much time discussing the dispute between Obama and Clinton/McCain on gas prices, or something else that's actually relevant.

5. I got angry at our local Air America guy

for comparing this to the Dean Scream this morning. I thought there was a tacit understanding that he would talk about local and state politics unless something huge happened, and I don't consider this huge. People in the media feel like they have to talk about what everyone else is talking about. In reality- they have total freedom.

What are we going to do about the sagging economy? THAT'S WHATS AFFECTING EVERYONE!

"journalists" "report", and the people respond-

even on cnn, most of them seem to have their heads on straight

u can spot the trolls and RW nuts pretty easily

(mainly due to the misspellings and typing in ALL CAPS and overpunctuation!!!!!!)

but the average joes? not fooled

15. I haven't watched cable news since the PA election.

And I don't feel this Rev. Wright thing going on with cable. Only what I read here.

And here are my thoughts. Lots of people watched the Reverend's speech over the weekend, and they formed their own opinions of the Reverend. They were mostly all positive feelings and this is from both Clinton supporters and Obama supporters. It was hard to find a negative post after the speech. And if their were negative feelings then people didn't have it in them to post something negative after hearing the Reverend speak.

But then the next day the media started to attack the Reverend. And I saw one's who formed their own positive feelings of the preacher turning to negative feelings - seen through the recent post here - and this was because they were being influenced by the media. There is no question about it. It was like night and day on this board. All of a sudden the media come in and boom! The attacks began.

It is so unbelievable to not have watched this on cable and to see ones who formed their own opinions now coming out against the Reverend and Obama because they watched cable news. This to me means a lot of people can't think for themselves and go on their own feelings, but will go on the feelings portrayed by the media. It's as if they all of a sudden are brainwashed. I kid you not. And it is sad.
