The Democratic Restoration
I think that there are individuals that have been screwed over by the 'pubbies in the worst way. When we're back in power, I think we need to make sure to restore some of these folks back into positions of prominence. We owe them that, at the very least. They deserved better than the hands they got dealt.

California Gov. Gray Davis (Crybaby Issa's Recall)
Georgia Sen. Max Cleland (the smear campaign that but Shi**y Classless in office)
Ambassador Joe Wilson (smaer job over Niger story)
New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (the illegal phone banking job)

1. Yes Restoration is the
right word, like that of a monarchy, of the 1% who control the wealth.
Remember TR got elected because of populist movements in the U$ and they were afraid something like what happened in Russia would happen here.
People have to wake up and make sure it isn't a Restoration but a Revolution for the People. According to Thomas Jefferson we are long way overdue.

2. Leave Davis off of the list!
Edited on Thu Jul-08-04 04:00 AM by necso
His unwillingness to deal realistically with the recall effort cost the Dems any chance to keep the governor's office. (He should have resigned when the handwriting was clearly on the wall.)

I did not support the recall and am mortified to have the Gropernator as governor, but Davis owed it to the Democratic faithful to keep the office in Democratic hands. Instead he pursued his own interests, so screw him --- just like he screwed us.

On edit: Of course Davis is not to blame for the coup, but he shares the blame for letting the Dems lose the office.

6. I would suggest 'Prosecutor of the Bush Cabal'..
but not sure I'd want a man with such a deep sense of fairness and dignity..

I'd like to see him run the EPA or Dept of Interior or Energy.
