The MSM is now trashing Wright for speaking out on his own behalf?!
Pat Buchanan and Mika B are filling time while they wait to go live to Rev. Wright's remarks accusing him of "promoting" himself.

Aside from the absolute absurdity of accusing someone of milking publicity while you are covering him on live national television, it is breathtaking that these people, after weeks of slandering, mocking, and vilifying this man with non-stop discussion, analysis, arguing, pontificating, and distortion of three 30-second soundbytes, would have the temerity to criticize him for breaking his silence and speaking for himself.

In-you-know-what-credible!!!

1. Rev. Wright needs to go back into his hidey-hole. This is a disgusting spectacle.

2. yeah, that talking point started last night
from a "republican strategist" on CNN.

"I hear he's got a book coming out"

heh, so he speaks to the Detroit NAACP, because that's the next best thing to going on Leno or Oprah when you want to promote something.

3. I think Wright is betraying his friend Obama
Much as I hate the MSM's obsession with this, Rev,. Wright could have held off for a while if he had any sense of loyalty and friendship.

7. Wright is free to do as he wishes. And as far as I know, Obama does not own him. I think your
assumption that Obama controls this man is ridiculous.

11. You missed what I said
I never said Obama controls him -- or is even supposed to control him.

I said that as a friend, Wright is acting selfishly in the timing of his rehabilitation tour.

4. Why give Scarborough ratings?
His show is awful and SO PREDICTABLE.
Same with Buchanan ...
Their main goal is to destroy Obama's candidacy.
So, far they're doing a good job.
CNN cracked me up this morning .. their poll: "Are you tired of Rev. Wright?"
73% said yes.
Then CNN continues reporting on Wright. ROFLMAO!!
They know exactly what they're doing ... attempting to destroy Obama's candidacy.
The whole thing is so transparent, it's pathetic.

9. As a black man I concur
What Wright said is not the problem. How people react is the problem. THEIR problem. Truth hurts, but not telling it keeps us all right where we are.

8. White guy response
What we are seeing here is a very clear illustration of the differences in white and black culture in America.

When a white guy's friend makes trouble or makes things too unconfortable they kick them to the curb. You are on your own.

In black America there is always the refuge of friends. A large social net to fall into.

Maybe too much of one each for the other's taste? Perhaps.

But then I could just be generalizing, a bit.

10. Watch the M$M do a massive CYA because one controller voiced into Mika on MSNBC
Edited on Mon Apr-28-08 08:23 AM by ShortnFiery
that "THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of the emails are support of Rev. Wright." That made Mika bristle but I don't think she truly processed what this producer was communicating in between the lines, i.e., back the f**k off!

Keep up the emails to MSNBC. There's no place on Cable TV for the CLEARLY racist commentators such as Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan.

Tweetie is just a spastic beastie and can be trained, i.e., IMO, just out of touch and not OVERTLY racist. Mathews reminds me of Cobert's character who claims One Black Friend. :spray:
