Joe Scarborough Is Not A Journalist and Has No Business Masquerading As Such.
Here are some "facts" that Joe Scarborough just rattled off on MSNBC regarding the PA Primary.

1. Obama spent 3 times as much as Hillary Clinton in PA.
2. He lost by double-digits
3. He lost the suburbs
4. He got killed in Montgomery County

Here's the truth that a few minutes of fact-checking could've sorted out for him.

1. Obama outspent Hillary 2-1, not 3-1.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2008/04/24/MN3A10AHNB.DTL

2. Obama lost by single-digits, 9.2%, specifically (though that is sure to shrink once Philly's thousands of provisionals get sorted through)
http://www.electionreturns.state.pa.us/ElectionsInformation.aspx?ElectionID=27

3. Obama won both Chester and Delaware counties, half of Philly's 4 suburban counties.

4. Obama won 49.3% of Montgomery county's votes, to Hillary's 50.7%; a difference of 2,204 votes out of 153,586 votes cast. That's an interesting definition of being "killed".

But hey, he at least got closer to the truth than Dave Davies of the Philadelphia Daily News who reported today that Obama lost each of the 4 suburban counties.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/politics/elections/20080424_Did_Obama_blow_the_election_by_blowing_off_Philly_.html?viewAll=Y#comments

I don't care which candidate, or party for that matter, you support. This kind of sloppy, dishonest "journalism" should anger EVERYONE.

1. Joe "Dead Intern" Scarboro
wants to tell us who is fit to run the country.

Its astonishing.

I've submitted a piece on this at Talking points memo
and hopefully to OpEDNews.

We all need to be blogging on this bizarre contradiction.

18. He should NOT be hosting segments on the Democratic primary...
...It is absolutely asinine for MSNBC to have a schill like him hosting segments on the Democratic Primary.

It's as bad as Clinton-hating Judy "TurkeyNeck" Woodruff as a commentator on the 2004 Democratic convention, when she had spent MONTHS hacking away at the Clintons.

2. He's not the only one ...
I know Tweety is a "pundit" but he still doesn't have the right to
LIE and he does. He's still saying that Hillary "won" Texas (and
MSNBC hasn't "striped" this state the way CNN has -- it still looks
like it's in "her" column), and he commits "sins of omission" daily
by not telling the WHOLE TRUTH. Absolutely sickening to me and it
certainly explains why our electorate is so ill-informed and focusing
on B.S.

8. I hate to say it, but that'd be a perfect job for him -- a LYING politician!
Because that's what he'd be -- a TOTAL POLITICIAN -- not a
public servant by any stretch of the imagination. It'd be
all about Tweety all the time (as if it isn't already).

3. That's when I turned it off. They just lie, and so it often so it's finally accepted as fact.
This has Karl Rove's fingerprints all over it. If he's not getting paid by her campaign, they're directly using all his tactics and strategy. Spewing lies as truth is how the Iraq war was sold to the public. Now they're trying to ensure that we have no real choice in November; either Hillary or McCain.

something has to be done. Talking about it on a political board isn't enough. We just cannot stand by while the media puts another GOP in the WH. :argh:

9. So what is up with all the right wingers shilling for Senator Clinton?
Pat Buchanan has been doing it as well. I never watch it but is Faux Noise doing it too?
I can only conclude two things from this:
1. The right wing want to run against Senator Clinton as opposed to Senator Obama.
2. Senator Clinton appears just as right wing to the right wingers as she does to many here in the DU.

I wonder how the Clinton supporters feel about all the neo-con talking heads shilling for their candidate... Me, I would see this as a HUGE red flag if I were one of her supporters.

11. #1 and #2 are both correct. They know they can beat Hillary, whereas Obama is a huge wild-card.
At the beginning of the campaign, I think a lot of conservatives were pissed off that it looked like it would be two moderates running against each other. But with McCain and Clinton both shading to the right in recent months, a lot of right-wingers are probably now thinking that it could be Tweedle-Dee vs. Tweedle-Dum in a GOOD way. Two hawkish conservatives for the American people to choose from - magically delicious, ain't it? :sarcasm:

24. When he calls Hillary his "girl friend" I absolutely want to throw up
I feel like that is just wrong and disrespectful in some way. First of all, I don't like Hillary, but he is actually mocking the party and HER by saying she is his "girlfriend" when he husband was the president of the united states, the only Dem president in 30 years. By relegating her to his "girlfriend" he also downplays Bill Clinton, as if brushing him to the side, and also the party and her. He must giggle to himself at night thinking about how he gets away with calling her a "girl" when so many people are being blamed for sexism, but he gets to be sexist and disguise it as some kind of friendly gesture. We must remember, these people hate Democrats. They will allow Hillary to do their bidding, but that doesn't mean they like her or won't turn on her and eat her alive.

Then, she is practically old enough to be his mother. That is disrespectful. What if Rachel Maddow was calling John McCain her "sugar daddy" every night? They would flip.

26. And he also appears to
be hooked up on roids. I swear whenever Rachel opens her brilliant mouth, that man looks like he has roid rage or some anti-woman, anti-gay rage that he just barely conceals. It is scary because it seems as if he could get away with bashing her head into the side of a desk and leaving her for dead he would. That's just how he appears at times. SCARY.
