Groan!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my county (Colorado) officials predicted back in January that the nominee would not be decided until Denver.

That makes it exciting, but it could ruin the general election.

who then went on to win three times.

It's not necessarily a bad thing.

3. My bad. I knew that, too.
The first convention to nominate him was in 1932. It was the last time that no candidates went into the convention with enough delegates to win and therefore a true brokered convention. Worked out pretty well for us.
