I remember several threads in DU days of old that commented on Bush's horrible aging, his blotchy skin tone, his puffy bloodshot eyes, his yellow teeth, his weirdly frizzing hair, etc.

I also remember a thread in 2004, where a pic of Dean as a young man sitting shirtless by the pool was offered up, and another more recent one where an old pic of a younger Al Gore and Bill Clinton came forward, and many remarks were made about Gore's good looks in that picture, and Dean's good looks in his.

I don't think these types of threads are limited to women, at all. And it isn't any more negative to concentrate on good looks than it is to concentrate on bad looks. Both are essentially harmless to the non-uber-sensitive. Superficial, perhaps, but harmless, and certainly not sexist.

Now, if one were to point out something completely gender oriented, like the size of a male candidate's package, or the depth of a female candidate's cleavage. Yeah, that would be sexist.
