167. I sense a tone in your picking up on the "cheap beer" ....twice....
sorta sounds like you are looking down on cheap beer. Which is ironic. Since Hillary is supposed to be doing so much better among the Democrats most likely to drink cheap beer and can't afford anything else. I am aware among some people there is a hierachy of human-ness based on the brand of beer drunk. What. Ever. I kinda think the OP is going to enjoy the beer....after a hard day's work. Much more than the pompous condescending spectator who brags about not doing work and makes such a point about cheap beer. I have the impression Hillary Herd members are basically unhappy souls as a lot....too bad they don't get off their butts to work for their candidate instead of trying to make mind games on the ones who do! Oh, maybe not too bad. Good for Obama! The new cult is masochists who support losers for Hillary....

One question

There was some talk a little while ago in the media about Obama not using "walking around money." Is he planning on using grass roots and student support to get folks to the polling places and get around the old political party machinery?

Keep up the good work!

And I'm lucky enough to working with some amazing individuals. This organizing bit used to be a bit like pulling teeth. But now everyone is so dedicated that I'm almost out of a job. I came home from canvassing today, prepared to spend the night making my confirmation calls for tomorrows volunteers. Except, somebody already made the calls for me! So now I'm not quite sure what to do with myself! I guess I'll just look over my lists again or something.

The way I look at it, if Obama wins PA by a even a few votes, it'll be because of what you, Kristi, Yael & me and a few thousand of our closest frinds have done here.

67. Bless you!
I spent the day going door to door in neighboring Indiana. I encountered a few rough spots, but overall it was a very rewarding and invigorating experience. My feet hurt and let me tell you, I am unwinding right now with a nice glass of Pinot Grigiot (and screw anyone who thinks drinking wine is elitist).

Thanks for all your hard work in PA. You are definitely making a difference and we all owe you a heap of gratitude. I wanted to make calls to PA but at the last minute decided to join some friends going to Indy, where the race is pretty damn tight.

We are working hard and we need all the help we can get. The bigger the Obama margin the better.

I spent 30 hours last week (on top of my full time job) helping to enter data so we can get out the vote.

I spent the previous 4 weeks registering people to vote -- evenings and weekends.

I was feeling sick on Friday so I stayed home yesterday and today to sleep and drown whatever it is that's got me with Gatorade. I must recover and get moving again - we have just about 2 weeks left! :wow:

If there's one thing I like about living in an urban area of Redneckville, it's that I can find 32-oz bottles of beer for $1.19. I have two Bud Ice bottles chillin' in my fridge, and one of them is going down the hatch on Tuesday night.

calling me as a Hillary Clinton supporter, when you know I've told you on more than one occasion that I didn't even vote for her in my primary?

I can't imagine I'd spare my free time for any politician, unless it were at a local level.

So no, I would not work for Hillary Clinton if I did not get paid.

My time is money, and I don't work for millionaires for free.

And that's the way it works.

But I look forward to your next insinuation that Hillary is my "gal."

133. I don't see the contradiction?
What would be a contradiction would be to donate and demand payment for work at the same time. Kinda counterproductive.

You have to assume that people donate what they think they can spare to see the result they want. Same goes for any time spent on it.

And especially the latter is deserving of all the praise that can be heaped on it. No matter which of the candidates we are talking about.

127. Because Hillary Clinton supporters are heavily outnumbered
here, and receive at least three times the abuse Obama supporters receive as a whole.

Why would I feel like contributing to that sort of pack mentality?

Considering the large numbers of angry and obnoxious Obama supporters, (not everyone, but there are a disturbing number), especially with him in the lead, you'd think the numbers were reversed.

That paragraph alone deserves a roll eyes from me.
