Hear me out here, please...
It seems the right wing doesn't want to let this flag pin drop. They believe this will help tie McCain to being the choice of the "Patriotic" Americans who vote without researching candidates. They hear a flag pin story and make their decision. While I am not the most patriotic person as defined by their terms, perhaps most of us who object to the actions of the past 7 years may not be either. Wouldn't it just blow them away, though... if we started wearing flag lapel pins? :) We could even like have them made with the word Obama at the base of the flag... tie our candidate into the flag pin...
I can only imagine the backlash of this coming back to bite them. I will do what it takes to show my support of my candidate... even if it means wearing a flag pin... lmao I can just see the faces of the right wingers I work with...
Oh and for explanation regarding my Patriotism... Patriotism to me is to be proud of the country you live in. To me, I have to be proud of the direction the country is heading and the actions of the leaders of the country. I am neither. I would defend our country against an attack on OUR OWN SOIL but believe we need to stay out of other countries and whether we run out of oil at home or not, we need to quit stealing it from other countries... I believe it is Patriotic to defend our country from attacks from within which is one of the many reasons I support Senator Obama.
