See You All Later
Its been a real tough night so far. Combined with last night's debate, I came home to find out that Danny Federici, the Long time organist for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band lost his bout with cancer this afternoon, dying at the age 0f 58. I'm supposed to fly to Florida to see my first show of the tour tomorrow in Ft. Lauderdale. I was so excited for this because Springsteen is my absolute favorite, but I had only seen him once with the band before in 2003. So when they postpone the show, I wont be able to go to it. But in the end, that doesnt matter, it isnt about me. It's about a great man who passed away. And it just got me thinking about all the fighting, some of it my fault, I'll admit. But you know what? It just isnt worth it. It isnt worth it to get all worked up over all that happens here. There are more important things in life. Anyway, I'm gonna be gone for the next 3 days while I'm in FL, so I will see you all again. Stay safe.

hnmnf

RIP Danny Federici.

8. I just read the news that Danny Federici died of melanoma
A very nasty cancer that most people fail to take note of the symptoms (who pays attention to moles, anyway). He gave the band a unique sound.

RIP Danny

Take care, hnmnf. See you when you come back.

9. So sorry to hear this, sorry you've had a bad day
58 is too young to die. I've lost several friends this year, younger than that. Spent most of the day today counseling a woman just diagnosed w/ metastatic breast cancer. Another friend's daughter is now facing terminal stomach cancer at the age of 31.

This disease can be beaten. If we had spent as much on cancer research as we have on wars, we'd be much farther along, probably able to cure and/or prevent more cancers today.

Please commit yourself to fighting for a candidate who will work for funding good quality research and access to quality health care for all so we can end it.

CANCER SUCKS. FIGHT IT. CURE IT. ELECT SOMEONE WHO WILL DO IT.

Saw the man in Omaha a month ago. Seventh time. He's getting better with age. This indeed a sad time. Take a look at Danny on the back sleeve of The wild, the innocent...... Priceless!

29. Clarification
Most sincere apologies. My post wasn't meant to advocate for either candidate.

Just make sure that whoever you support, if they end up in office, stay on them to do what's necessary to end cancer and get health care for all.

I've gone through something similar with a band that I follow. Its tough. But you'll always have his music to keep him alive in your mind. (I still remember well the first time I saw the E Street Band -- nearly 35 years ago)
