5. I'd love it, and it would be a smart move as a third party could be a
spoiler in this election ... but I don't think it's happening. Dean hasn't been formally *vetted* to my knowledge.

6. I am about as big a supporter of Dean as one is likely to find
and I think it is a bad idea. I admit that I am surprised that Dean is doing as well as Gephardt. But there is such a thing as fit and Dean is a bad fit. I would like to see a woman maybe Feinstein or Murray.

Don't we need Dean to head Health and Human Services?
I'm thinking we do.
Back to our regularly scheduled knitting.

11. I don't get the Hillary fascination!
I'm not diametrically opposed to her (well, actually, I do think she's kind of boring) but I just do NOT understand the draw.

14. I love Hillary
If there was anybody in the world who could have rightly said "I've had enough of this crap, I'm going into hiding for a few years.", it would've been Hillary.

Instead, she chose to keep fighting. How? By winning a Senate seat. Where? In one of the toughest states in the country to win in.

Since then she's gotten rave reviews even from Republicans for her work in the Senate. She's brilliant, she doesn't back down from a fight, and she plays to win.

22. Hmmm
"Since then she's gotten rave reviews even from Republicans for her work in the Senate."

That tends to happen when you vote *with* them on the major issues.

23. I see...
now the Republicans love her because she's one of them :eyes:

That's silly. They fight her tooth and nail on most policy issues, but they respect her hard work and dedication to the job.

20. Hillary's made it pretty clear
that she doesn't want to be veep. Not this time around, at least. It would also make her very unpopular in New York after she swore that she'd complete her 6 year term.

two Senators that voted FOR the Iraq War will just not get it done in 2004.

Geez... I'm tired of "settling."

The election is beginning to loose this independent and we're still five months off.

24. Dean would be my choice if only...
it weren't for Missouri being a key state, and I believe that Gephart
would probably give Kerry a better chance to win it. I'd still like to have Dean for vice-president. He brings so much energy to a campaign, and would be great for the Kerry administration.
:hi:

25. Dean for VP
We need Dean to re-energize the party. He would also bring in the anti-war voters. He's smart, a great speaker and doesn't take crap from anyone.

26. the party is already energized
against Bush.

Dean sucked in the primaries. He does NOT bring anything new to the party, despite the fact that a small percentage of people found him particularly appealing.

He's a centrist democrat just like all the others. He was in the DLC. He is NOT an outsider.

27. I love the guy but I doubt it's gonna happen
The powers that be in the party that made sure he didn't get the nomination are not going to let him get the #2 spot--even if Kerry wanted him.

I'd love to see the debate with Cheney though. Better have that defibrillateor on standby.
