But I just saw

Last night, Clinton correctly pointed out that we have "lost" the last 2 presidential elections because our nominees were perceived as elitist and out of touch (although as Obama correctly pointed out, Gore did not actually lose). Knowing that, she made the decision to run an ad calling our likely nominee out of touch and help feed what she acknowledges will be the Republican narrative against him.
How the hell does she get off acting like she is staying in for the good of the party, helping to prevent what she sees as a sure Republican landslide if Obama is the nominee, while openly working to help ensure his defeat by running ads portraying him as out of touch in a critical swing state? Kerry won Pennsylvania by less than 3% in 2004...if she manages to turn even a small bunch of Reagan Democrats off from Obama, it could hurt his chances in the general and she darn well knows it. I have long suspected that she'd try to bring him down so that she could run again in 2012 but have been unwilling to go as far as accusing her of doing that. Now I am convinced that that is her strategy, that if she won't get the nomination she is selfish enough to bring the whole party down. I have promised myself and the DU community that I would vote for her if she gets the nomination, and I am standing by my promise because I believe this country can't afford 4 more years of Bush-like policies. But if she succeeds at sabotaging Obama's chances in the general with this kind of garbage, I'll fight to my death to prevent her from getting the nomination in 2012.
