*Obama Theme Song--Please Listen!*
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 07:17 PM by Kristi1696
Hi guys, just finished with two long days of canvassing. Over 600 doors knocked here in Philly, between my partners and I. Things are looking good over here!

My Obama group now has a theme song that I'd like to share with you.

*Warning, we're a student group...so yes, the song is hip-hop* ;)

Please have a listen and spread the word!

This song was made by a group member. Just one of the ways our group is working to DELIVER PENNSYLVANIA FOR OBAMA!

Guys, don't let any of the negativity get to you. This campaign is doing beautiful things! And there is no better example of that than on the streets of West Philly.

YES.WE.CAN!

YES.WE.ARE!

This is what happened when Hillary came into my neighborhood. ;)

Here's a story about the scene.

Sometimes the campaign trail provides little uplifting moments that make you proud of American democracy.

I experienced two today.Moment one: Tom Fitzgerald noted the handful of enthusiastic Obama supporters who matched voices with Hillary partisans near 52nd and Chestnut. The loudest was Mike, and kept yelling that Mayor Nutter should know “this is Obama’s city.” But as the national media began photographing his act, a Clinton supporter approached to get his Hillary placard in the camera frame.

Mike hugged the guy and said, “we love you, too. We’re all Democrats.”

And I'm sitting behind Barack in the second photo! :D

4. Not sure.
But we have several volunteers in Philly with amazing artistic skills.

Our campaign office looks beautiful!

12. Thanks, I'll tell the artist you liked it!
He'll be thrilled.

I'm going to try to get the lyrics as well. He's added a few verses, but the ones that I recognize are really powerful!

3. It's ok
I'm just old fashioned and want the Democrats to go back to "Happy Days are Here Again" until the Republicans are extinct. Bill made a big mistake when he used "Don't Stop Thinking About My Ego" and now Hillary is singing that awful tune as well.

7. Good job
nicely made tune...sounds professional...although my taste in music in order are: soundtrack scores (orchestra), pop, r&b, hip-hop, and alternative (i hate country) your effort is quite good when i listen to it objectively.

9. Hey Kristi...
Great job on the ground again!

I'm a "classic rock" guy myself but my son liked your theme song a lot.

11. Thanks!
Things are picking up in Philly. Obama signs are popping up everywhere. Motorcades with honking and Obama signs are driving around the city.

Next weekend is basically going to be a party. A busy, hectic party.

I can't wait.
