Go over to our sister site and you will see that McCain now has electoral vote leads against both Clinton and Obama.

* McCain vs Obama (McCain 316, Obama 213)
* McCain vs Clinton (McCain 277, Clinton 256)

Our algorithm for determining that a candidate would win a state was to look at the latest poll for that state and peg the winner of the poll as the winner of the state regardless of how slim the margin was. So yes, a 1% lead in a poll constituted a win in the state despite the fact that 1% is not necessarily statistically significant.

1. Not necessarily. There is record Dem registration in PA now as well as in NC
That will help us long-term building a governing majority. As long as the primary contest does degenerate into a battle to the death it could be an asset.
