Omg- the Obama people are going after this guy -

He's evil!

Elton John said "To hell with them" (referring to "the misogynist attitude" )
and now Hillary must denounce him!

Elton John is a very bad man!!!!

19. Ahhh...another obscure attack on "them"
Who, exactly, are these "Obama people" you speak of?

If you're going to bitch about something, you should at least identify the target of your bitching.

...that jabs at the Clinton bullies' fake outrage over Pastor Wright.

I haven't heard one apology. Not one.

I like Sir Elton John though, he makes good music.

Just as it isn't different that you all are going crazy over the Randi Rhodes event.

Pastor Wright has never spoken at an Obama event.

11. Nothing - she's still around.
"She has released 39 singles, 3 EPs, 9 LPs and 3 CDs to date. Dee has also appeared in musical theatre - notably in the lead role in Willy Russell's West End musical Blood Brothers. She took on the role (originally played by Barbara Dickson for the 1988 production and recording). She received an Olivier Award nomination in 1989 for her acting skills.<1>

In 1990, she contributed to the last recording studio collaboration between Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, on the album Freudiana, performing "You're On Your Own".

In 2008, Kiki Dee's first ever DVD was released "Under The Night Sky" is a collaboration with guitarist Carmelo Luggeri, filmed live at Bray Studios in London.

She also performed at Live Aid, reprising "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" with John, and performing backing vocals on the other songs in his set.

She still tours, and occasionally makes guest appearances on television in shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks. She has recorded with other artists such as Dave Stewart and guitarist Carmelo Luggeri."

32. His first album was great, and then each successive album was less. He played in Missoula,
(sold out the Adams Center, just like Obama) and he's supposed to play there again I guess.

We know England isn't mysoginistic because Maggie Thatcher broke the unions, and the Queen knighted Sir Elton John.

If Hill wins, I'm hoping she awards Elton John the Medal of Freedom, since she will owe him and all.

Ones that have no problem with misogyny.

Real Progressive Dems appreciate his work on GBLT issues and his fight against AIDS especially during a time when doing so made you a pariah.

23. This whole idea of "opposition to Hillary = misogynism/sexism" is completely ridiculous.
It's equivalent to calling someone a "homophobe" if they don't care for Elton's recent records. In other words, Hillary's policies, her constant lying, and the fucking criminal douchebag running her campaign have absolutely nothing to do with her gender.

Elton should know better.

Doesn't diminish his past activism or his classic albums, but in this case, he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.

33. Pity
I love Reginald Dwight A.K.A. Elton John.

I really don't give a damn what he said at a fundraising concert.

Just the same, the OP uses the phrase "Obama people". To me, that phrase implies the people that actually speak for the Obama campaign. As far as I know, his campaign hasn't made any statements on the things said at that fundraiser.
