I guess that tells us something. Paying off debts is for the little people, I suppose.

7. What makes you think her personal money
is the same fund as her campaign money?

And if she HAD done that, you guys would be freaking out over using her personal fortune.

I promise, her campaign's bills will be paid.

19. Don't be. I read your post and thought you were referring to taxes paid
which would have been too low as well. That kind of income is out of the ball park for me. ;) Certainly not working class role models -are they?

Clinton didn't pay health insurance bills
By KENNETH P. VOGEL | 3/31/08 10:50 AM EST Text Size:

Among the debts reported this month by Hillary Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, the $292,000 in unpaid health insurance premiums for her campaign staff stands out.

Among the debts reported this month by Hillary Rodham Clinton’s struggling presidential campaign, the $292,000 in unpaid health insurance premiums for her campaign staff stands out.

Clinton, who is being pressured to end her campaign against Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination, has made her plan for universal health care a centerpiece of her agenda.

The campaign provides health insurance to all its employees, their spouses, partners and children — and that wasn’t interrupted by any lag in payments to insurance providers, said Jay Carson, a Clinton campaign spokesman.

23. Uh-huh----meanwhile anyone else has a "lag time"
and they are without insurance.

This spokesperson makes it sound like the only issue at hand is if workers went without insurance... while that IS important, it's also the "LAG TIME", dummy.

And while the article quotes $292,000, the PREVIOUS month's premium bills were close to **$500,000** cuz she owed BOTH Aetna and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. So I guess from the HRC camp's view, $292,000 is no big deal knowing how much was on the healthcare premium IOU list LAST month.

10. I am pissed that she is fucking over the small mom and pop vendors.
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 07:41 PM by Bigleaf
That's just fucking scummy. I personally don't give a flying fuck if she makes the insurance companies wait to be paid. It is ironic though that the insurance companies let this go, because if it was you or me they would just cancel our insurance for non-payment and tell us we are shit-out-of-luck.

Cash-strapped Clinton fails to pay bills
By KENNETH P. VOGEL | 3/30/08 7:00 AM EST Updated: 4/1/08 9:05 AM EST Text Size:

Clinton’s camp has put off paying bills for months, earning campaign a reputation as something of a deadbeat in some small-business circles.

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s cash-strapped presidential campaign has been putting off paying hundreds of bills for months — freeing up cash for critical media buys but also earning the campaign a reputation as something of a deadbeat in some small-business circles.

A pair of Ohio companies owed more than $25,000 by Clinton for staging events for her campaign are warning others in the tight-knit event production community — and anyone else who will listen — to get their cash upfront when doing business with her. Her campaign, say representatives of the two companies, has stopped returning phone calls and e-mails seeking payment of outstanding invoices. One even got no response from a certified letter.

Their cautionary tales, combined with published reports about similar difficulties faced by a New Hampshire landlord, an Iowa office cleaner and a New York caterer, highlight a less-obvious impact of Clinton’s inability to keep up with the staggering fundraising pace set by her opponent for the Democratic presidential nomination, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

24. I imagine Pennsylvania vendors are being pretty damn cautious
Her campaign credit history being splashed all over the news and all.

Note to people/taxpayers in that state: if she makes any appearances/rallies at a PUBLICALLY funded facility near you (school, local government building, university) be AWARE that also on her IOU list are school districts and colleges.

Bottom line, she is not paying for the facility use on time so YOU GUYS get to foot the bill of her being in those buildings. Several school districts are listed on her FEC's debt list..so THOSE local taxpayers have footed the bill since she has chosen not to do so yet.
