When did 'hope' become a four letter word?
I find it rather amusing that some Clinton supporters here like to throw the word 'hope' in the face of Obama supporters.

Just thought a little reminder was in order:

1. Hopeless
That's may be a well fitting description of the team that once hailed from Hope.
Perhaps they've lost their way.

5. When it glossed over the hate and slander of the BO campaign
Edited on Sat Apr-05-08 02:36 PM by DemGa
With a smile and "hope" in one hand -- and vicious slander/aligning with right-wing attacks in the other.

When it came to represent hypocrisy, fraud, Obama.

16. hillary is losing by her own hand....

Hillary's BS lies and fence sitting BS, ad her vote to support Bush invading Iraq are why she is losing.

Her own words and actions hurt her far worse than any criticism Obama has launched.

6. re: When did 'hope' become a four letter word?
Obama has done for the word hope what Dubya has done for the word victory. Even if you support him, it must be eating at you by now.

Well if it doesn't you are probably as extreme as this one Republican lady I heard on C-SPAN the other morning. She said that the war in Iraq was a Democrat war, because Bush declared mission accomplished and after that his war was over. LOL. I would hope you would have a little better perspective and look at the big picture.

20. Do not compare me to a Republican, okay?
I have been a Democrat all my life. I know what the big picture is. I just wasn't in the mood to go into a long tirade, okay? There are other things to do in life besides posting on DU.

Find someone else to insult.

19. LOL!!!!! No because Obama is genuine and the hope is real...

The hope that we, the people, can sweep out the old triangulating political hacks that have been controlling our government for the last 30 years.

I'm not saying Obama will be perfect or he'll solve all the nations problems... but he and his administration damn sure won't be the same old DC power players.

The grass roots are out funding, out organizing, and out motivating... the old smoke filled back room wheeler dealer political hacks.

We have a real chance to change things and put power back in the hands of the people.

The problem for Hillary is that she miscalculated. She thought by mastering the back room deals and winning the power players, she could win without the people. She just needed to manipulate the people with some lies about snipers, and hospitals killing pregnant women.

Hillary is a politician of yesterday, just like McCain... their time is over.

I have been encouraged to expect from you? Is this really the "substantive masterpiece" that you have advocated from the participants of GD-P. Truly. I am disappointed.

15. The same way that losing 3 limbs means Max Cleland was unamerican...

Hillary is using the standard GOP line of attack, trying to spin their opponent's strong points as a weakness.

The wife of the man from hope is now running against hope.

The simple reason is because she can't hope to inspire or motivate voters in anywhere close to the numbers that Obama can.

So they have to attack hope and spin a motivated electorate as a cult.

It is disgusting and it's why she is losing.

18. HRC's just pissed
She ran the wrong campaign.

She assumed she was entitled and underestimated the strength of Obama. She squandered her funds, got lazy, and assumed she could cherry pick "key" states and win in a walk. Worse yet she totally ignored the mood of the country - assuming she could tell us what to care about. She blew it and by the time she woke up a charismatic leader had taken THE message the poeple were dying to hear. Think I'm wrong? How many times has her campaign tried t re-tool their message and come up with something that resonates without hitting the mark.

Hope is a great message its just not something the Clinton campaign has any more.
