Only 12,000 Republicans have crossed over in N. Carolina (Limbaugh effect overrated)

In a state as big as NC 12,000 is nothing, and you have to assume that a significant number of those are either Obama supporters or genuine Hillary supporters. I expect something like 4,000 true Limbaugh mischief-makers is a good estimate. They still have a week to register, but these aren't big numbers by any stretch of the imagination. No doubt Limbaugh will keep patting himself on the back though.

2. believe it or not there actually might be some republicans who want to vote for either Obama or
Clinton because they actually prefer them to McCain.

4. I think there are some people who legitimately want to have a say
about who the Dem candidate is since their vote is so significant at this point. Whoever the Dem, candidate is probably has a better than 50% chance of becoming president so they want to pick the one they can better live with.
