I walked into GD:P this morning - and the discussion is sillier than ever
seriously - look at the threads. Obama and and Hillary supporters should be shaking their collective heads at the level of discourse this morning, but no - they are both creating it.

2. I don't get people like you...
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 04:54 AM by TwoSparkles
...we're smack dab in the middle of a fiercely competitive, white-hot Democratic primary
between two very driven candidates.

We've got three weeks until PA, with both candidates jockeying for media attention and
fighting to get out their messages--as their campaigns run at full speed.

As far as political primaries go, this is nearly unprecedented.

What did you expect when you got on DU, during such a time in history--and in particular,
when you chose to click on GDP???

I'm just not understanding why people feign such outrage--when they open up GDP--and discover
that it's not a High Tea with little finger sandwiches and raised pinkies.

4. The point is that we are all in this together.
And we have, and have had, some terrific and qualified candidates. We can't lose, whomever we end up with, though we all have our preferences. The Republicans just can't match any one of ours. The agenda should be reinstating a responsible, informed and involved administration who can begin to clean up the mess of the last eight years, not fighting among each other. But I've been a Kucinich supporter since 2003, though I'm realistic, LOL, so what do I know...

3. It'll get better after the primaries are over and once we have a nominee.
It was the same way in 2004, maybe even worse, but we managed to survive then, so I think we'll survive now. I think that one of the problems is that there are only two camps. Back in 2004, there were several, though some were more vitriolic than others. But Skinner said that we had to get together and support whoever the nominee was, once we had one, and we did. I hope that we can manage it this time, too. But I sure do know what you mean...x(
