Overheard in a restaurant tonight

A couple discussing the sniper controversy. They were discussing the incident and said they heard another tape is being filmed this week, to show proof of the sniper attacks. While I doubt this couple has any inside knowledge, I did find it quite odd to hear the suggestion being made. While it could be a good political maneuver (although dishonest), I doubt they could pull this off (even if they would want to) without being caught red handed.

And, before the flames start...

YES, I said this couple probably did NOT have any knowledge. I assumed it was said by them in jest. I didn't say she would stoop that low. I didn't say the public would buy it if they did do this. Furthermore, I debated posting this due to the current state of GDP - but due to the Rovian tactics pulled on Senator Kerry, to prepare people for some of the potential tricks that could be played by McCain, et al, during the lead up to the GE.

Such as: Statements about the sniper fire, tapes surface showing no sniper fire, candidate thought to be lying about sniper fire, new tape surfaces to show sniper fire, candidate gains strength by those who didn't trust her before and regains the supporters who left the campaign. Again, restating this is not the case here, but if a candidate would want to play a Rovian trick... this would be an ideal example of a game Rove would play.

I just can imagine Rove playing a similar trick on behalf of McCain AFTER our nominee is chosen.

Again, stating, I do not believe Hillary would do anything like this at all.

13. I just watched the video referenced in your signature line.

It was excellent, sad and moving. I especially liked the description of just what a trillion dollars could do and then the contrast on the cost of war...this is a video everyone should take a look at prior to making their decision.
