CNN: Obama Opens Up Double Digit Lead Nationally
Edited on Mon Mar-31-08 01:33 PM by ericgtr
It's about time to put this thing to bed for Hillary. All she can hope for now is something major to come out against Obama and he's weathered the Wright storm and is now stronger than ever.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/31/poll-obama-has-double-digit-lead-nationally/

(CNN)—Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama extended his lead nationally over Sen. Hillary Clinton Monday according to the latest national polls.

The Gallup Poll conducted March 27-29 with a margin of error of 3 percentage points shows the Illinois Senator has a 10 point lead over the New York Senator among Democrats, marking the first time since early February Gallup polls have shown either candidate with a double digit lead. In February, Gallup showed Clinton held an 11 percent advantage over Obama.

Last week’s Pew Poll also confirmed Obama had weathered the media storm surrounding the Reverend Wright controversy and maintained his lead.

15. How is that relevant? This was a poll about two Democrats.

3. These national polls are more important to the supers than anything else.
42 of 50 states have already voted. If anything, Obama has greater support in those 42 states than at the time the votes were cast. That's not relevant to the delegate count per se, but may influence some reticent superdelegates.

12. Actually, it might be relevant.
Texas just held their district conventions Saturday and I noticed in a lot of precincts, some of the Hillary delegates failed to show (3 out of 6 in my precinct didn't show, but all 30 Obama delegates and nearly all Obama alternates were there). But there was no shortage of Obama delegates, meaning when we sent precinct delegates to the district to be considered for the state convention, a huge majority of them were Obama delegates.

I think it is affecting things.

14. From what I've been reading it's been a crazy ordeal for everyone
with Hillary sending her attack dogs out to challenge every ruling they have.

9. Her strategy is always the same - Attack and attack harder
and it has never paid off, her best quality is being mean and people are simply turned off by that. Honestly, I am surprised it took this long for her numbers to dump.

13. Maybe we should we send Hannity a "thank you" note?
Seems after that story hit and the relentless attacks and looped videos, it's been good for Obama and Hillary keeps sinking! Fixed News apparently hasn't figured that out yet because they're still doing it and he's still soaring!
