Actually fundraising and spending numbers for both Bush and Kerry
Says Kerry started May with $28 million in the bank, Bush has $72 million left. Kerry raised $30 million in April, Bush $15 million.

Bush also has higher overhead than Kerry, mainly because Repugs rely on direct mail for fundraising which cost $$. Quite frankly, it looks to me that Bush financial edge is virtually gone.

Also, it was mentioned earlier this campaign season that the Bush campaign was planning to funnel money to the party to get around the spending limits that kick in after the convention. Looking at the burn rate of the Bush campaign, they aren't going to have the cash to do that.

1. I had hoped Kerry would have more cash on hand
Still, he's doing pretty well. Add in all the 527 money and I think the Repubs have only a slight financial advantage. Still, they have spent money on state organizing which Kerry has yet to do.

California is the cashbox of political campaigns. $32 million from California. sigh.

2. State Organizing
He has started, our office in Oregon is set to open June 1. So maybe that is where some of that money went.
