1. If this comes to pass, no Democratic voter should speak in defense of Mrs.
Clinton.

If he endorses her and she accepts the endorsement, she should be shunned.

He is a disgraceful man.

26. Yes. It's unsettling, to say the least. If she cozies up -- publicly! -- to
Murdock and Scaife and that bunch -- who else has she been cozying up to PRIVATELY?

Probably I don't want to know.

30. Did you watch the video of Hillary speaking before Scaife&Co.?
Did you see his expression? He had "I really hate you, you b....!" written all over his australopithecine forehead. What the hell does she expect to achieve by humoring those scoundrels?!?

If she is not careful, Hillary just might destroy her political career (as a respected Democrat).

33. I cut her some slack early in the campaign, even as I was far more
enthusiastic about her 7 Democratic opponents in the primary.

Since Feb. 5th, it's clear she has taken a turn toward the worse. The conduct of the campaign has been mean-spirited and low-down, and racist.

24. Has she lost the last vestige of whatever dignity she had?
This guy published articles accusing her of having Vince Foster murdered, funded a decade long witch hunt against her and her husband that culminated in his impeachment, and here she is playing footsie with him in exchange for a meaningless endorsement in a primary that will settle nothing.

Her ambition has gobbled up her pride and she's become a hollow shell of a human being.

No wonder she is so empathetic to McCain. He too has no qualms about sucking up to those who trash him and his family.

28. she has sold her soul. you don't see things clearly when you do that
what will be fun will be watching her staff bail if this happens. none of them will stick, at least none of them that aren't as rednecked as she is. If she can do this, she is endorsing and seeking the support of people who called her kid a dog. Honest to god, this is indefensible, but there will be deadenders that will. count on it. They are as soulless as she is if they can countenance this.

The Trib is my hometown newspaper, and I would encourage anyone who doesn't understand why Hillary cozying up to Scaife is so disgusting, to READ that paper for a few days. Check out the editorials and letters to the editor while you are at it, and note how few views left of the EXTREME right make it into print. The paper is so vile, I wouldn't use it for toilet paper if no other alternative existed.

One of their top editorialist's Colin McNickle is the guy that Teresa Heinz Kerry told to "Shove it." McNickle brags, "As with fools, I don't suffer liberals gladly. I'm a proud member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. If not a founding member, I'm at least a charter member and darn proud of it."

And then he talks about a framed copy of a newspaper which hangs over his desk, "It features that very large headline, ``Roosevelt Dead,'' from which I garner immeasurable inspiration every single day."

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/search/s_8526.html

The Trib's political cartoons are regularly right wing and often tasteless. They have scrubbed one which I recall featured both Hillary and Bill Clinton when he had just gone through his open heart surgery that was extremely vile but this one, which a little less tasteless is still available:

I could never DREAM of sitting down to an interview with the head of a "news" organization which has spent hundreds of millions to destroy Democrats and their causes. Scaife has had no change of heart regarding Hillary unless he has completely lost his mind.

31. What's the Dif? Hillary has Scaife. Obama has Limbaugh, Colter, Bennet and Matthews.
If the Obama campaign wants to abandon all its right-wing support, it is going to lose more followers than Hillary's is. 80% of the right-wing media are doing their best to nominate Obama over Hillary.

They LOVE him.

For the moment.

49. I think they are so enamored of their candidate, that they just don't question anything she does.
The ones still here are pretty hard core. They can make the same accusation against Obama supporters, but I don't think we would welcome a "love letter" from Scaife. At least I hope not. It was kind of a "stimulus-response" thing: Someone says something positive about Hillary (Scaife)and they immediately embrace it and him; someone steps outside the Hillary perimeter (Richardson) and that person not only can't endorse Obama for respectable reasons, he or she is Judas.

It's all-or-nothing thinking, and it hurts them. Like the Scaife thing all day today.

been sitting on top of the world in prestige and admiration. She and he could have still been on top had they done things differently. The DLC, Pres Clinton, and our former First Lady have really screwed this campaign up and all their reputations - in my mind, at least. But, I was already a foe of the DLC starting in 2000 with what they did to Gore.

No -- not yet, anyway. In fairness, we at the Trib want to hear Sen. Barack Obama's answers to some of the same questions and to others before we make that decision."

... oh right, you'll say he's a bipartisan uniter.

We've got centrist candidates. And that's why they appeal to both sides. If you didn't want to be cozying up to Republicans you should've backed candidates who don't cozy up to Republicans.
