Wyoming Gov Freudenthal says "...decide before convention."
He hasn't said yet which candidate he will support as a super, but has given a little bit of a hint regarding how he is thinking at present. See Today's article:

Superdelegates must decide before convention, Freudenthal says

"CHEYENNE -- Gov. Dave Freudenthal, one of about 800 Democratic superdelegates, said Wednesday he has concluded they cannot wait until the August national convention to declare which presidential candidate they will support.

<snip>

The Democrat, in his second term as the state's chief executive, said he is bothered that the 800 superdelegates have the capacity, if they choose to act collectively, to control the outcome of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

"I find that a little troubling, not in a big 'D' Democratic Party sense, but in a small 'd' representative democracy sense," Freudenthal said.

<snip> other WY supers:

Two Wyoming superdelegates, state party Chairman John Millin of Cheyenne and state Rep. Pete Jorgensen of Jackson, are supporting Obama. Another, Nancy Drummond of Sheridan, has said she'll support the candidate favored in the state's Democratic caucuses; Obama won in Wyoming with 60 percent of the vote.

Cynthia Nunley of Lander is the state's other Democratic superdelegate.

5. I'm missing your point about Freudenthal
Read most (actually skimmed all) of your journal - did I miss a quote from him or something? I didn't see where he indicated he was in favor of the supers going against the results of the primaries and caucuses, nor where he said he was in favor of the Bredesen back room deal either.

I'm reading his statement in the Star Trib to indicate he's leaning toward going with the results and is a bit bothered at the thought of the supers nullifying them. This is real progress here for "Gov Dave" - he doesn't get 70% of the vote in Wyoming for being a moderate Dem or anything. He's about as "conservative" as they come - never did figure out why he joined the Dem Party.

He always phrases things so as not to upset the Repubs here. Seems to be his number one concern. Makes me sick most days. So, I'm surprised he said anything at all, because any talk about what the Dems are doing angers the Repubs here.

10. It was not that relevant, really, but here is my tribute to him...
To Freudenthal who doesn't like Democrats, and who especially doesn't like Dean at all.

Heck I have not written about Freudenthal since Dec.

A collection of pithy Freudenthal outbursts against Democrats.

11. Thanks for the reminder madfl
Like I needed it to make me barf all over again...

I know - I know - he has been nothing but a repub clown on a string.

So, I am happy, for today, that he seems now to be leaning toward not overturning the Wyoming Caucus results!

I'll be watching him...and he will be hearing from me...

3. As long as we have the soooopers, they should have to go on the record
as soon as we have TWO candidates.. Line up and vote ANONYMOUSLY... That gives each candidate a true accounting of where they stand..and by doing it anonymously, the delegates are free to truly vote their conscience without risking the wrath of anyone..

That said, I would like to see the whole thing eliminated..NO MORE sooopers..

The lah-di-dah elites of the party can have front row seats, a chi-chi exclusive dinner and valet parking..but NO MORE special votes..

6. I think many of them who
haven't committed are "weak links" and thus they were easily bamboozled after OH and TX into "waiting" for PA, not fully realizing, at the time, that PA was so late on the calendar and what that would mean for the expanded opportunity to sling mud.

Every day that ticks by makes it more necessary that these people stand up and commit now, but - because they are largely spineless - each day that ticks by means it would take even more backbone than the day before to step up.

Maybe this is hyberbole. I'm mostly looking at my own governor (Freudenthal) who is by no means a "profile in courage."

8. looks like the people are deciding for him - new poll - Obama up 10, and even stranger,

While Obama has a mostly favorable image among white Democrats, those with unfavorable views about him are likelier to say equal rights for minorities have gone too far and to oppose interracial dating. Almost one in four white Democrats who view Obama unfavorably also think he is Muslim, when in fact he is Christian.
