Repeat After Me: "Bush's Failed Presidency"
That's our best ticket to the White House. Bush's Failed Presidency. It should be our constant mantra. No Democrat should mention Bush's name without also noting his "failed Presidency". The Republicans squeeze everything they can out of Kerry by painting him a "Massachusetts Liberal". Sure they score a few cheap points, but that's nothing compared to Bush being linked to a "failed Presidency." What's the Republican comeback to that one? No, his Presidency has not failed? Oh, and by the way, is Bush still beating his wife?

This is the central message of the election cycle. Bush failed. He tried, sure, but he failed. What's that Mister, you kind of like George Bush? OK, he tried hard. But he still failed. History will record this Bush administration as a "failed Presidency", so why can't we get ahead of that curve and drum it in now? Are we better off now than we were before Bush's "failed Presidency"? Of course not. Do we have more jobs as a result of Bush's failed Presidency? Have we advanced the solvency of Social Security, made Health Insurance more universal or affordable, healed the bitter partisan divisions between Americans? Nope Nope Nope Nope. Bush failed. His is a "failed Presidency".

Did Bush catch Bin Ladin in time to crush Al Quada? Did he rally the world to stand firm behind the United States? Is America more respected now than it was before 9/11? Nope Nope Nope. Have our relations with our allies improved? Have our relations with the Islamic world improved? Has our relations with the United Nations improved? Nope Nope Nope. Did Bush find those weapons of Mass Destruction? Are there less terrorists in Iraq now than there were before we invaded? Did Bush get it right handing Iraq's reconstruction over to the ideologue civilians in the Pentagon, cutting out the State Department? No,failures one and all. Has Homeland Security been adequately funded? Is America prepared for new terrorist attacks? Hell No. Start to finish, it's been a very long "failed Presidency". So that's exactly what we should call it, every chance we get. So please, every time you mention Bush's name, be sure to make note of his "failed Presidency".

1. I'm not a big fan of Gep
but "miserable failure" really does it for me.

Oh, and you can throw in a more explicit reference to the deficit.

2. Hey Tom,
it's great to see you back.:hi: I thought maybe you had dissappeared for good.

I think that's a great idea, it's short and sweet and really says it all. The type of concept that's likely to stick in people's heads whether they want it to or not.

4. No, I did go through a let down after Clark withdrew...
But I never planned on leaving. Mostly though, of late my job has kept me near continually on the road, so I haven't been logged on much.

That's exactly the idea. Repeat it often enough, "failed presidency" "failed Presidency", and it stick's, and there's nothing Bush can really do to shake it. Americans mostly don't take kindly to failures.

3. The failed pResidency works for me
though if you look at his entire life he has only one constant, Failure. Had he not been born to money he would have never made it.

5. Good plan
> What's that Mister, you kind of like George Bush? OK, he tried hard. But he still failed.

Have to admit, that will play in the midwest. The south will brand it treason but, this just in, we aren't going to take a southern state between now and 2024. OH, PA, MI, however, will eat it up. So will IA and even NH if we need them.

7. Yes! We have a winner!
I hope Kerry's people are reading that. Incompetence is an important part of the message, too. People vote Republican against their own best interests because they perceive the Democrats as weak. There is nothing weaker than incompetent bungling and that's one thing that quite a few swing voters are noticing about this administration.

9. people are getting it - equating Bush with bad news. (Carter II)
Bush is becoming the bad news president.

America is waking up and getting sick of all the bad news every morning, just like they did in 1980. Time for a change.

Even Al Neuharth, founder of USA Today (he's not liberal by any stretch) is advising that Bush ride into the sunset.

We are winning, slowly but surely. By the time the convention is done, JK will be ahead by 15.

17. Lethally Incompetent, Lethally Incompetent... LETHALLY INCOMPETENT
If you're going to come up with a great phrase like that... you must include it in the subjet line. No sense in 'hiding' it in the body of your message. :-)

let'a learn from the "patriotic" GOP:

Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN): "This is President Clinton's war, and when he falls flat on his face, that's his problem." New York Times, 5/4/99

21. This is one of the things Dean did so well. He used "Talking Points"
to make his case. The Rethugs do it, and it's very effective.

I'm in! :hi:
